As a Custom Software Engineer – Front End (React) Senior, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of scalable web applications using modern React technologies. The role requires ownership of key features from design through deployment, collaborating with architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high\-quality software that meets both functional and non\-functional requirements. The engineer mentors team members, drives engineering best practices, ensures application performance and security, and contributes to successful project delivery in an Agile environment.

Roles \& Responsibilities

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key technical decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Lead the planning and execution of project tasks to ensure timely delivery.
• Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development.
• Facilitate effective communication between technical and non\-technical stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
• Work closely with Architects/Principal Engineers to design solutions aligned with business and IT strategy.
• Partner with QA teams to ensure delivery of high\-quality software through unit testing, code reviews, and quality engineering practices.
• Take ownership and accountability for the development of key application features from design to deployment.
• Ensure timely communication of project progress, risks, and impediments to minimize delivery impact.
• Deliver solutions that meet both functional and non\-functional requirements.
• Promote engineering best practices, maintain high coding standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and post\-release support.

Professional \& Technical Skills

Must Have Skills

• Proficiency in React 16\.13\+ / React 17\+ / React 18/19, TypeScript 4\.9\+, JavaScript (ES6\+), HTML5, and CSS3\.
• Strong experience with GraphQL, React component\-based architecture, and state management.
• Experience with GitHub, Visual Studio, JIRA, Confluence, SAFe/Agile, and Event\-Driven Microservices Architecture.
• Strong understanding of Object\-Oriented Design (OOD) principles.
• Experience with UI libraries such as Material UI (MUI) or Ant Design.
• Experience writing unit tests and end\-to\-end (E2E) tests using Jest, Selenium, Cucumber, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with build tools such as Webpack or Vite.
• Strong knowledge of web performance optimization, responsive design, and cross\-browser compatibility.
• Understanding of web security best practices and secure application development.
• Experience with GitLab/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, package management, and SonarQube.
• Knowledge of AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible use in software engineering while adhering to enterprise governance standards.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong problem\-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams and mentor junior developers.

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with Node.js and NX/TurboRepo or similar monorepo architecture.
• Experience with Figma or similar UI/UX design tools.
• Knowledge of Financial Services/Trading platforms and Financial Markets.
• Understanding of .NET Framework, relational databases, and API development.
• Experience with AWS Services, Serverless Architecture, and Microservices.
• Knowledge of D3\.js and Storybook for UI component development.
• Experience with Test\-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior\-Driven Development (BDD).
• Experience working with application performance optimization and scalable front\-end architectures

Additional Information

• The candidate should have minimum 7\.5 years of experience in React.js.
• This position is based at our Pune Magarpatta office and 2 Days in week office visit.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
