Summary

As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing, developing, and maintaining modern web applications using React and related front\-end technologies. The role includes collaborating with cross\-functional teams to build scalable, responsive, and user\-friendly applications that meet business requirements. Daily activities involve developing UI components, participating in testing and code reviews, resolving technical issues, and contributing to continuous improvements while following Agile development practices and coding standards.

Roles \& Responsibilities

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work\-related problems.
• Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements.
• Develop, test, and maintain front\-end applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Work closely with senior developers, architects, and QA teams to deliver high\-quality software solutions.
• Participate in unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and defect resolution activities.
• Contribute to the development of applications that meet both functional and non\-functional requirements.
• Utilize AI\-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot or similar) to improve productivity and code quality while following enterprise guidelines.
• Support application enhancements, maintenance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Communicate progress, technical issues, and task updates effectively with the project team.

Professional \& Technical Skills

Must To Have Skills

• Proficiency in React 16/17/18\+, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6\+), HTML5, CSS3, GitHub, Visual Studio Code, Jira, Confluence, CI/CD, and SAFe/Agile.
• Strong understanding of React component\-based architecture, object\-oriented programming principles, and modern UI development.
• Experience in developing responsive and scalable web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with UI libraries such as Material UI or Ant Design.
• Knowledge of unit testing and end\-to\-end testing using Jest, Selenium, Cucumber, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack or Vite.
• Understanding of web performance optimization, responsive design, and cross\-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with web security best practices and secure application development.
• Experience using GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality tools such as SonarQube.
• Understanding of AI\-assisted development tools and responsible AI usage in software engineering.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Good analytical, problem\-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Good To Have Skills

• Familiarity with Node.js and NX/TurboRepo or similar monorepo architecture.
• Exposure to Figma or similar UI/UX design tools.
• Understanding of financial/trading platforms and financial markets.
• Basic knowledge of .NET Framework, relational databases, and API development.
• Exposure to AWS, serverless architecture, and microservices.
• Familiarity with D3\.js and Storybook.
• Understanding of TDD/BDD methodologies.

Additional Information

• The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in React.js.
• This position is based at our Pune Magarpatta office and 2 Days in week office visit.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
