Data Analyst

About the Role

Highbrow Game is a Chennai\-based mobile simulation game studio, backed by Google Accelerator, behind titles such as Bus Master India, Indian Train Simulator, Truck Masters India and Rest Stop Tycoon. We are hiring a Data Analyst to turn player, marketing and live\-ops data into clear insights that shape how we build, launch and grow our games.

• *Key Responsibilities**

\* Collect, clean and validate data from game analytics tools, ad platforms and app store consoles

\* Track core game KPIs: DAU/MAU, retention (D1/D7/D30\), session length, ARPU/ARPDAU, LTV, CPI and conversion rates

\* Build and maintain dashboards and automated weekly and monthly reports for the product, marketing and leadership teams

\* Analyse player behaviour, funnels and drop\-off points, and recommend improvements to gameplay, onboarding and monetisation

\* Support A/B tests: set up metrics, analyse results and summarise outcomes

\* Analyse ad campaign performance and help optimise user acquisition spend

\* Write SQL queries for ad hoc analysis and answer data questions from team members

\* Document data definitions and reporting processes so numbers stay consistent across teams

• *Requirements**

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or a related field
• 1 year of hands\-on experience in data analysis (internships and strong project work count)
• Working knowledge of SQL (joins, aggregations, window functions) and advanced Excel or Google Sheets
• Experience with at least one BI tool: Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio or similar
• Basic Python or R for data cleaning and analysis (Pandas, NumPy)
• Solid grasp of descriptive statistics and the basics of hypothesis testing
• Clear written and verbal communication, able to explain findings to non\-technical teammates
• Curiosity, attention to detail and ownership of deadlines

• *Good to Have**

\* Experience with mobile game or app analytics tools such as Firebase, GameAnalytics, Unity Analytics or AppsFlyer

\* Familiarity with live\-ops, in\-app purchases and ad monetisation metrics

\* Exposure to BigQuery or another cloud data warehouse

\* A genuine interest in mobile games
