Job Description: Data Analyst – IQAC

Job Summary

SGT University is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to analyze institutional data, automate reporting processes, and develop dashboards and actionable insights to support data\-driven decision\-making and institutional quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, process, and analyze datasets using Python and SQL.
• Develop Python scripts to automate data analysis and recurring reports.
• Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI or Tableau.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, and trend identification.
• Extract and integrate data from multiple sources to monitor institutional performance and KPIs.
• Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support analytical reporting for institutional performance, NAAC, NIRF, and other quality assessment requirements.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Python, Pandas, and NumPy.
• Working knowledge of SQL and database querying.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of data visualization, statistical analysis, and data cleaning.
• Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications \& Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, IT, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant hands\-on experience in data analytics, Python programming, or business intelligence.
• Experience in dashboard development and reporting automation is preferred.
• Familiarity with higher education data or institutional reporting is an added advantage.
