\. Supervise Marine Technicians: Oversee the activities of marine engine technicians working on the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical sensors. Inspect their work to ensure quality and accuracy.
\. Real\-time Data Monitoring: Track real\-time data from Omni, Met, and Tsunami Buoys related to earthquake and tsunami events. Monitor and verify the data for accuracy and performance.
\. Server Room \& Modem Maintenance: Handle server rooms and ensure all data reception modems are functioning properly, enabling uninterrupted data flow from deployed buoys.
\. Buoy Data Handling \& Reporting: Manage data from FTP, GTS, ARGO, GPS, and INSAT transmissions; analyze and create reports on buoy stoppages, earthquakes, tsunamis, and drift. Create and submit monthly reports for all buoys to the Chief scientists.
\. Daily Log Sheets \& Reports: Prepare and update log sheets for each buoy, verify data integrity, and submit daily performance/status reports to the Chief Scientists for ongoing review and operational decisions.
\. Monitor Equipment with ADDRESS System: Use the ADDRESS system to monitor the operational status of electronics, electrical, and mechanical components across all deployed platforms.
\. SOP/OEM Compliance: Ensure that all equipment maintenance, deployment, and operations both on vessels and at shore stations follow Standard Operating Procedures and OEM guidelines.
\. Cruise Planning \& Coordination: Create cruise tracks for upcoming expeditions, manage buoy deployment/retrieval communications during cruises, and compile related operational reports.
\. Buoy Record Maintenance: Maintain detailed records of deployment/retrieval events, missed transmissions, INCOIS/LES reports, and ensure complete buoy lifecycle tracking.
\. Data Visualization \& System Management: Plot buoy data using tools like Ferret, Grapher, Origin, and MATLAB. Maintain data storage systems, update relevant software, and coordinate with managers to analyze feedback and implement continuous improvements.
