Technical / Behavioral

3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT development, or data warehouse development.

Strong SQL skills with hands on experience working on large scale analytical datasets.

Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse platforms; the source JD format calls out Snowflake Cloud Warehouse experience as a required skill area.

Python development experience for data engineering, automation, data validation, and transformation use cases; the source JD format also calls out Python development experience as a key skill.

Working knowledge of AWS data ecosystem concepts, cloud storage, compute, and data processing patterns; the source JD format includes AWS experience as a required skill area.

Understanding of data warehousing concepts including dimensional modeling, fact and dimension tables, physical data modeling, and logical data modeling.

Experience developing batch jobs, data integration processes, transformation logic, reconciliation routines, and reusable data assets.

Familiarity with job scheduling and orchestration tools such as Control M; BPM platform materials reference Control M as part of the data curation ecosystem.

Good UNIX/Linux shell scripting knowledge for automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support.

Ability to write clean, maintainable, well tested code and contribute to code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment activities.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to quickly understand data, business rules, dependencies, and production issues.

Strong communication and relationship management skills to work effectively with project team members, product owners, business partners, and distributed technology teams.

Ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining delivery quality, documentation discipline, and production stability.

The Skills that are Good to Have for this Role

Exposure to Informatica, NiFi, DBT, or similar data integration / transformation tools; BPM platform materials reference Informatica and NiFi in the data curation ecosystem.

Experience with data quality frameworks, automated validations, rule based checks, or data health dashboards. BPM strategic materials emphasize automated validations, data health scores, transparency, and AI readiness.

Experience with BI and analytics platforms such as Power BI and Tableau; BPM platform materials reference Power BI and Tableau as part of the reporting and analytics ecosystem.

Familiarity with metadata/catalog tools such as Alation or Collibra; BPM platform materials reference Alation and Collibra under governance and catalog capabilities.

Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI enablement use cases, including feature ready datasets, context preparation, semantic layers, or natural language analytics. AskBPM is positioned as a conversational analytics capability that allows associates to interact directly with data using natural language and deliver fast, consistent, scalable insights.

Understanding of financial services data domains such as assets, flows, customers, accounts, products, interactions, revenue, profitability, or enterprise finance reporting. BPM data products include Assets \& Flows, Customer Financial \& Interactions Profile, Customer 360 analytics, and market share analytics.
