Data Engineer II

Specifically, our team is responsible for the company’s technology engineering, architecture, and infrastructure, providing 24x7 support to ensure an uninterrupted, high\-quality experience for customers and colleagues. We also provide product management for core enterprise platforms, and lead technology risk and information security, enterprise data governance and platforms, digital product and design, and enterprise AI platforms on behalf of the company.

Our Engineers that join our Technologies team will be assigned to one of several exciting teams that are responsible for development and management of business critical platforms. You will be challenged with identifying innovative ideas and proof of concept to deliver against the existing and future needs of our customers. Our Software Engineers not only understand how technology works, but how that technology intersects with the people who count on it every day. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4\+ years of commercial software development experience
• Proficient in developing, hosting solutions on Google Cloud Platform\- Google Cloud Storage and Big Query.
• Hands\-on experience on Big Data platforms (Scala/Spark/Hive SQL) and Big Data Lake.
• Hands\-on experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools and data modelling in Big Data platform.
• Experience in Secure File Transfer (SFT) operations and its utilization in data management.
• Experience with Agile development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery, including working knowledge of various tools in the CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience with automated release management using Maven, Salt, Git, Jenkins
• Good understanding of web technologies (HTTP, Apache) and familiarity with Unix/Linux
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Great written communication and documentation abilities
• Looks proactively beyond the obvious for continuous improvement opportunities.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels across functions, from both technical and non\-technical perspectives alike.

Secondary Skills

• Hands\-on experience in designing and developing end\-to\-end business intelligence solutions using the Power BI stack.
• Experience in building and implementing data models, metrics, and KPIs to support reporting and business analytics needs.
• Experience in developing and optimizing tabular data models to enable interactive and scalable reporting.
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and SQL, with the ability to design intuitive and user\-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports to support data\-driven decision\-making.
• Experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and improving performance of BI solutions (reports, datasets, and semantic models) to ensure reliability and efficiency.

Working knowledge of BI frameworks, semantic layers, and metadata management, with exposure to data governance and standardization practices.
