• *JOB SUMMARY**

We are looking for an experienced Deputy General Manager / Design Head to lead the Design function and manage end\-to\-end design activities. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Tool \& Die Design, Press Tool Design, Mold Design, CAD/CAM, team management, and project execution.

• *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

• Lead and manage the Design \& Engineering team and oversee day\-to\-day design activities.
• Plan, manage, and monitor multiple design projects from concept to final design.
• Review and approve 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies, layouts, and manufacturing drawings.
• Provide technical guidance for Press Tool, Die, Mold, and Tool Design projects.
• Ensure designs meet customer requirements, quality standards, manufacturability, and project timelines.
• Handle technical discussions with customers and understand design requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Manufacturing, Quality, and other departments for smooth project execution.
• Identify design issues, provide technical solutions, and support design modifications.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) practices.
• Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
• Review feasibility, costing inputs, and technical requirements for new projects.
• Support the team in resolving complex technical and manufacturing\-related issues.
• Develop and implement standard design practices, processes, and documentation.
• Mentor, train, and develop design engineers and junior team members.
• Ensure proper use of CAD standards, design procedures, and engineering documentation.
• Stay updated with the latest CAD/CAM technologies and industry developments.

• *REQUIRED SKILLS \& QUALIFICATIONS**

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool \& Die, Production Engineering, or a related field.
• 10\+ years of relevant experience in Tool \& Die / Press Tool / Mold Design.
• Strong experience in Design Engineering and team leadership.
• Hands\-on knowledge of CAD software such as CATIA, UG\-NX, Cimatron, Creo, or similar.
• Strong understanding of 3D modeling, 2D drawings, assemblies, layouts, and manufacturing drawings.
• Good knowledge of Tool Design, Press Tool Design, Mold Design, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong knowledge of DFM, feasibility, tolerances, materials, and standard components.
• Experience in handling customers and cross\-functional teams.
• Strong problem\-solving, decision\-making, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within defined timelines.

• *PREFERRED EXPERIENCE**

• Experience in Tool Rooms / Die Manufacturing / Mold Manufacturing / Automotive or Engineering industries.
• Experience managing a team of Design Engineers.
• Experience in customer\-facing technical discussions and project management.
