• *Engagement Financial Advisor (EFA) – Job Description**

As an **Engagement Financial Advisor (EFA)**, you will operate as the **“CFO of engagements”**, partnering with business and delivery leaders to drive financial performance, governance, and strategic decision\-making across the lifecycle engagements.

• *Role Summary:**

This role supports the Business Finance and Delivery Organization for the Operate and Managed Services business unit in India. You will be responsible for financial planning, performance management, and engagement\-level profitability for a portfolio of projects, while ensuring compliance with financial policies and reporting standards.

The role reports to the Finance Leader of the Business Unit; and dotted line reporting to Delivery Teams. This is an individual contributor role.

• *Key Responsibilities:**

• *1**. **Budgeting \& Forecasting**

• Prepare engagement\-level budgets and forecasts in collaboration with senior leadership
• Develop financial models covering revenue, cost, and margin projections
• Ensure alignment of financial plans with business and operational goals

• *2\. Financial Analysis \& Performance Management**

• Analyze financial performance trends, variances, and key drivers
• Deliver actionable insights to improve profitability and efficiency
• Monitor engagement KPIs, including margins, utilization, and cost structures

• *3\. Engagement Financial Management**

• Act as a finance business partner to delivery and engagement teams
• Track project financials (revenue, cost, margin) throughout the lifecycle
• Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies

• *4\. Revenue, Billing \& Compliance**

• Support billing, revenue recognition, and collections processes
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies.

5**. Influenced KPIs and** **Cross\-Functional Collaboration**

• Partner closely with internal Deloitte teams for finance and commercial activities
• Work with business/delivery teams to control lock up in working capital beyond contractual terms; control variation in gross margin and net margin from sold margins
• Be proactive in identifying the cost control initiatives, work with business in implementation
• Be proactive in tracking release of planned staff reductions as per Pricing/Contracts; highlight potential delays in Governance meetings.

• *Educational Background**

• MBA Finance, with \~8 years of relevant experience.
• CA/CPA/CMA with \~6 years of relevant experience.

• *Skills Required**

• **Financial Analysis:** Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and prepare reports that support business decisions.
• **Data Analysis Expertise:** Proficiency in handling large datasets using tools like excel spreadsheets, Power BI, and other data visualization or analysis platforms to extract insights and drive business decisions.
• **High level of Ownership:** Self\-driven individual who is proactive, hands\-on, and excels at taking initiative to get things done independently.
• **Attention to Detail:** Strong attention to detail while working on financial reports and insights.
• **Communication Skills:** Good written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with senior managers and cross\-functional teams.
• **Team Collaboration:** Ability to work in a team environment, supporting colleagues and other departments to ensure financial alignment with operational goals.
