Job Description
The primary focus of this role is to drive process improvement and operational excellence through Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, and the design \& development of tools and fixtures for product industrialization. The role requires expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4\.0 practices, along with strong knowledge of PLC programming, automation systems, and engineering drawing interpretation to optimize productivity, quality, and manufacturing efficiency through innovative engineering solutions.
- *Roles \& Responsibilities**
- Identify and implement productivity improvement projects to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, optimize material consumption, improve process flow, reduce operator fatigue, and achieve cost reduction targets in consultation with respective department heads.
- Conduct line balancing, layout optimization, workstation design, capacity studies, and cycle time analysis for new and existing products to improve overall productivity.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of tools, jigs, fixtures, Poka\-Yoke systems, and Low\-Cost Automation (LCA) projects to improve quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Drive Digitalization and Industry 4\.0 initiatives through the implementation of real\-time production monitoring systems, data analytics, PLC\-based automation, and smart manufacturing solutions.
- Develop and support cross\-functional teams through training, coaching, and sharing of best manufacturing and industrial engineering practices to achieve continuous improvement objectives.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, 5S, SMED, Visual Management, Waste Elimination, and Continuous Improvement programs.
- Monitor and analyze Small Group Improvement Activities (SGIA), Kaizen projects, and cost\-saving initiatives, and present reviews as per the defined schedule.
- Ensure implementation and sustainability of Legrand Way, EMS, QMS, Safety, and other company standards in line with group objectives.
- Support PLC programming, automation troubleshooting, engineering drawing interpretation, and process standardization activities to achieve manufacturing excellence.
- Prepare and maintain manufacturing KPIs, MIS reports, project trackers, process documentation, SOPs, and engineering records in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements while implementing process improvement and automation projects.

- Complete understanding of fixture design, tools, and assembly processes.

- *Qualifications, Role\-Specific Knowledge \& Experience**
- BE/B.Tech, preferably in **Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering**.
- **5–6 years** of relevant experience in the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) function within a similar manufacturing setup.
- Excellent knowledge of engineering processes, manufacturing tools, and product/design engineering.
- Highly proficient in **AutoCAD** and **MS Excel**, with working knowledge of **MS Office**, **Power BI**, and **ERP\-based applications**.
