Job Description: Desktop Engineer (Fresher) – Healthcare IT/Night Shift
Location: Mumbai
Shift: Night Shift (Preferably 9:30 PM – 6:30 AM)
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and service\-oriented Desktop Engineer (Fresher) to join our Healthcare IT team. This role is designed for individuals who are beginning their professional journey and are eager to build strong technical skills while supporting systems that directly contribute to health care.

Roles and Responsibilities
End\-User Support* Provide first\-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and authorized mobile devices.
- Respond to IT service requests and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist users with basic hardware, software, login, and connectivity issues.
- Escalate complex problems to senior engineers while maintaining ownership and follow\-up.
Device Setup \& Deployment* Support the installation, configuration, and imaging of new devices.
- Prepare systems for new hires and assist in workstation moves, adds, and changes.
- Maintain accurate asset records and follow organizational standards for device management.
Healthcare Application Assistance* Assist in installing and supporting approved clinical and business applications.
- Quickly report issues that may impact clinical workflows to ensure minimal disruption to Health care services.
Security \& Compliance* Follow all healthcare security policies and confidentiality requirements.
- Ensure systems are updated, protected with antivirus tools, and used in compliance with organizational guidelines.
- Immediately report any suspected security risks or policy violations.
Collaboration \& Learning* Work closely with network, server, and application teams when troubleshooting requires coordination.
- Actively participate in training programs and build foundational IT knowledge.
- Maintain clear documentation of tickets, resolutions, and recurring issues.
Operational Discipline* Perform basic daily health checks for user areas as guided by senior team members.
- Demonstrate punctuality, reliability,flexibility and readiness to support shift\-based operations if required.
- Deliver courteous, patient\-focused support aligned with healthcare service values.

Preferred Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- 0–2 years of experience (internships or academic projects considered)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft environments is advantageous
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A\+, ITIL , CCNA or equivalent are a plus but not mandatory
