Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Developer – Agentic Commerce to design, develop, and deploy production\-grade autonomous commerce solutions powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, and Retrieval\-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures. The ideal candidate will have hands\-on experience building intelligent agents that support customer journeys across product discovery, recommendations, purchasing, service automation, and post\-order support.
This role requires deep expertise in multi\-agent orchestration, context engineering, tool integration, memory management, MCP\-based extensibility, and LLM\-powered commerce experiences. You will collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, observable, and governed AI\-driven commerce solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1\. Agentic Commerce Solution Development
- Design and implement agentic workflows across browse, decide, buy, and support customer journeys.
- Build autonomous and semi\-autonomous AI agents for recommendations, customer assistance, service recovery, and order management.
- Translate business capabilities into reusable tools, skills, and agent actions.
- Develop scalable agent architectures supporting orchestration, reasoning, and task execution.
2\. Multi\-Agent Orchestration
- Design planner/executor/reviewer patterns for collaborative agent systems.
- Implement agent\-to\-agent communication and coordination mechanisms.
- Develop shared memory, context propagation, and state management strategies.
- Build recovery, fallback, escalation, and exception\-handling workflows.
3\. LLM \& Tool Integration
- Integrate OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, and other foundation models into enterprise applications.
- Develop schema\-driven prompts, function\-calling workflows, and tool\-use patterns.
- Connect agents with enterprise commerce platforms including PXM, pricing engines, OMS, customer service platforms, payment systems, loyalty programs, and personalization services.
- Optimize model performance, latency, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
4\. Context Engineering \& RAG
- Design retrieval pipelines utilizing embeddings, chunking strategies, indexing, and retrieval optimization.
- Implement memory architectures supporting session, conversation, and long\-term context retention.
- Engineer grounding mechanisms to improve agent reliability and reduce hallucinations.
- Configure and optimize vector databases including Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, and pgvector.
5\. MCP \& Platform Engineering
- Develop MCP\-based plugins and adapters to modularize commerce capabilities.
- Build reusable agent skills, capability registries, and tool libraries.
- Create extensible frameworks supporting rapid onboarding of new business capabilities.
- Establish governance, observability, monitoring, and auditing standards for agent execution.
6\. Security, Governance \& Optimization
- Implement secure access controls and permissions for agent tool usage.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise AI governance and data security requirements.
- Monitor agent performance using observability platforms and telemetry tools.
- Optimize token consumption, retrieval efficiency, and response latency.
Role Requirements and Qualifications
- 7–10 years of software engineering experience with Java, Kotlin, Python, or TypeScript.
- Strong experience designing microservices and event\-driven architectures.
- Hands\-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, or Semantic Kernel.
- Proven expertise integrating LLMs through OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong understanding of function calling, tool usage, prompt engineering, and schema\-driven interactions.
- Experience implementing Retrieval\-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
- Hands\-on expertise with embeddings, chunking, indexing, retrieval tuning, and vector search.
- Experience with Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, pgvector, or similar vector databases.
- Strong understanding of API integrations, distributed systems, and cloud\-native architectures.
