  • *The Team You’ll Join**

You will join Envestnet’s Technology team, where we design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and robust WealthTech solutions that power the future of financial advice. The team collaborates closely with product, operations, and business stakeholders to drive innovation, enhance efficiency, and enable sustainable growth. Guided by modern engineering practices and a commitment to domain excellence, technical rigor, and collaboration, the Technology team ensures our platforms remain resilient, adaptable, and aligned with evolving business needs making it a core driver of Envestnet’s long‑term success.

  • *How You’ll Contribute**

Provides leadership and oversight to the Software Development Engineering group. Oversees team efforts to build scalable, secure platforms in support of Envestnet business operations, including wealth management, financial data aggregation and advisor\-driven technology solutions. Works across cloud\-based architectures, integrating complex data sources and APIs to deliver reliable, high\-performance systems. Collaborates with product managers, data scientists and compliance stakeholders to meet both business and regulatory requirements.

  • Define engineering strategy and the execution model for the enterprise CRM integration domain across Tamarac, Envestnet UMP, and MoneyGuide.
  • Own end\-to\-end delivery across multiple teams, including the phased rollout: Tamarac engagement inbound, MoneyGuide relationship read, and UMP relationship plus control.
  • Set domain architecture direction with senior technical leaders: the canonical data model, per\-field direction and write authority, echo suppression, entity crosswalk and resolution, and the versioned API and event contract.
  • Consolidate overlapping canonical\-modeling efforts across separate backlogs into one owned contract, and take a stated position on the Envestnet\-wide party/Holders framework.
  • Own Envestnet's data\-plane relationship with customer CRM orgs (Salesforce, Dynamics, Redtail, Wealthbox, Advyzon). That means one integration identity and one change\-capture subscription per org, schema versioning under Envestnet's control, and per\-tenant mapping and entitlement configuration.
  • Drive compliance and data governance: SOX\-relevant audit of reads and writes with dual actor identity, per\-firm ingestion scope, redaction of unstructured advisor content, tenant isolation, and advisor\-level entitlement extended to delegated agent access.
  • Manage budget, headcount, and org design, including build\-versus\-buy decisions on CRM adapters, mapping layers, and per\-org licensing.
  • Implement KPIs: per\-object sync freshness, availability, latency, write success and rejection rates, cost efficiency, and quality trends.
  • Influence prioritization across engineering, product, AI/agent engineering, and partners, including repositioning partner overlays from independent extractors to consumers of the service.
  • Lead the transformation: retire point\-to\-point integrations and migrate onto shared streaming, canonical, and observability infrastructure.
  • Build leadership bench strength through structured succession planning.
  • Drive adoption of agentic coding practices across the SDLC to increase productivity and cut time\-to\-delivery.
  • *What You’ll Need to Bring**
  • 10\+ years of software engineering experience, including leading managers, technical leads, or multiple teams across a major domain.
  • Proven ability to define engineering strategy, translate business objectives into multi\-quarter plans, and deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Experience setting domain\-level architecture direction, including platform consolidation, integration modernization, and replacing point\-to\-point integrations with a canonical shared service.
  • Deep enterprise CRM integration experience:
  • + Salesforce: managed packages, Change Data Capture, Pub/Sub API and platform events, replay and gap/overflow handling, field\-level security, and Financial Services Cloud.

+ Microsoft Dynamics 365/Dataverse: change tracking and delta tokens, service endpoints, Entra ID service principals, and least\-privilege Graph scopes.

  • Experience designing canonical or master data models and persistent entity crosswalks: per\-field direction control, write authority, echo suppression in bi\-directional sync, conflict policy, and pre\-write constraint validation.
  • Event\-driven architecture background: Kafka/Amazon MSK, the transactional outbox pattern, Debezium CDC, and Kafka Connect sinks.
  • PostgreSQL at scale (row\-level security, partitioning, logical replication) with Flyway migrations.
  • .NET, xUnit, Reqnroll, RESTful API design and versioning, and consumer\-driven contract testing.
  • AWS (EC2, S3, API Gateway, Lambda, RDS, EKS, CloudWatch, SQS), Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform).
  • Identity and access management: OAuth 2\.0, OIDC, Keycloak, RFC 8693 token exchange for delegated and agent identities, and entitlement models finer than tenant scope.
  • Experience driving compliance, data governance, and security: SOX audit trails, PII and tax\-ID tokenization, data classification, redaction of unstructured content, and retention policy.
  • Experience with engineering KPIs, OKRs, MBRs, budgeting, headcount planning, org design, hiring, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Experience with vendor evaluation and build\-versus\-buy decisions, including security review of vendors needing write access to customer systems of record.
  • Strong stakeholder management across engineering, product, AI/agent engineering, partners, and business leaders, including commercially sensitive partner conversations.
  • Experience building leadership bench strength and inspiring high\-performing teams through coaching, development, and accountability.
  • Experience with DevOps, automation, agile/Scrum, and test\-driven development.
  • Experience driving adoption of agentic coding or AI\-enabled engineering workflows across the SDLC.
  • *Nice\-to\-Haves**
  • Wealth management or financial services domain experience, including advisor workflows, household and account structures, and portfolio accounting or custodial data.
  • Familiarity with Redtail, Wealthbox, and Advyzon integration models.
  • Experience with RabbitMQ and with bridging or consolidating multiple event buses.
  • SQL Server, Redis, and ElastiCache experience.
  • Apigee or similar API management experience.
  • Experience delivering data to a warehouse or lakehouse across a curated medallion boundary (Snowflake sinks, Silver\-layer contracts).
  • Familiarity with MCP\-backed agent access patterns.
