Django Developer

• *About the role**

We're looking for an experienced Django Developer who can take ownership of backend development, build scalable systems, and drive technical implementation across our products. You'll be responsible for designing and developing robust backend applications, building APIs, optimizing databases, and making architectural decisions that support our growing products.

You'll work closely with our engineering team and founders to improve existing systems, build new features, and develop new products. We're looking for someone who can work independently, solve complex technical problems, and take ownership of projects from design through deployment.

• *What you'll do**

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django.
• Architect, build, and optimize RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework.
• Design database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure efficient data management.
• Take ownership of backend modules and drive their development from requirements to production.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, technical issues, and scalability challenges.
• Write clean, reusable, well\-tested, and maintainable code while following engineering best practices.
• Make technical decisions around system architecture, backend design, and technology choices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and other engineers to deliver end\-to\-end features.
• Work on existing products while contributing to the architecture and development of new products.
• Review code, mentor junior developers, and help maintain engineering standards across projects.

• *Minimum qualifications**

• 4\+ years of professional experience in backend development, with strong hands\-on expertise in Python and Django.
• Strong understanding of Python, object\-oriented programming, and software design principles.
• Extensive experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework.
• Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including database design and query optimization.
• Experience designing and developing scalable, production\-grade backend systems.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, authentication, authorization, and API security.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
• Ability to independently own technical tasks, make sound engineering decisions, and deliver production\-ready solutions.

• *Preferred qualifications**

• Experience with asynchronous task processing using Celery and message brokers such as Redis.
• Hands\-on experience with Docker and cloud infrastructure or deployment environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring tools.
• Experience optimizing high\-traffic applications and building systems for scale.
• Experience mentoring developers and conducting code reviews.
• Experience working in a fast\-paced startup environment with a high degree of ownership and responsibility.

Pay: ₹60,000\.00 \- ₹100,000\.00 per month
