E-commerce Reverse Engineer & AI Research Developer

We are looking for a technically curious and resourceful E\-commerce Reverse Engineer \& AI Research Developer who can research existing websites, understand how innovative technologies and features work, and develop similar or improved solutions.

You will investigate e\-commerce platforms, analyze website functionality, inspect APIs and network requests, experiment with AI technologies, and convert research findings into working applications and prototypes.

The ideal candidate should enjoy technical exploration, debugging, solving complex problems, and building things from scratch.

This role is ideal for someone who has strong programming fundamentals and enjoys discovering how applications work behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

• *1\. Website \& Application Analysis**

• Analyze existing e\-commerce websites and applications.
• Inspect frontend components, network requests, API responses, and user interactions.
• Understand how search, filters, recommendations, and product discovery systems work.
• Research website architecture, frameworks, and technical implementations.
• Recreate similar functionalities with improvements.

• *2\. AI Research \& Experimentation**

• Research emerging AI technologies, tools, models, and frameworks.
• Experiment with OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and other AI platforms.
• Explore computer vision, image recognition, visual search, and virtual try\-on technologies.
• Research AI\-powered recommendation and personalization systems.
• Build prototypes to test new technical concepts.

• *3\. Reverse Engineering \& Feature Development**

• Study existing website features and understand their technical implementation.
• Recreate useful features using Python, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
• Develop frontend components and backend functionality.
• Integrate APIs and third\-party applications.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing solutions.

• *4\. API Research \& Browser Automation**

• Inspect HTTP requests, REST APIs, JSON responses, and network activity.
• Use browser developer tools to understand application behavior.
• Work with Playwright, Selenium, or similar browser automation tools.
• Perform web scraping and data extraction where legally authorized.
• Research authentication, webhooks, and frontend\-backend communication.

• *5\. E\-commerce Technology Innovation**

• Research competitor websites and innovative e\-commerce features.
• Explore intelligent product discovery and advanced filtering systems.
• Develop AI\-powered shopping and product visualization prototypes.
• Identify opportunities to improve Shopify storefront functionality.
• Document research findings and recommend practical implementation approaches.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong programming knowledge in Python and JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of React, HTML, and CSS.
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP requests, JSON, and webhooks.
• Experience using Chrome Developer Tools and Network Inspector.
• Familiarity with Playwright, Selenium, or browser automation.
• Understanding of frontend\-backend communication.
• Basic knowledge of databases and web application architecture.
• Strong debugging, analytical thinking, and problem\-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Shopify or other e\-commerce platforms.
• Knowledge of OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini APIs.
• Familiarity with AI agents and LLM frameworks.
• Understanding of computer vision and image recognition.
• Experience with web scraping and data extraction.
• Knowledge of reverse engineering and application analysis.
