• *Position** : Engineer – NDT

• *Qualification** : BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Welding Engineering.
• *Relevant Industry** : Valves, Pumps, Pipes, NDT Industry
• *Experience Required** : 2–5 years
• *Location** : Alandi Factory, Pune
• *Employment Type** : Permanent

Job Description – Welding \& NDT Engineer

• 1\) Prepare, review, and approve WPS, PQR, weld maps, and oversee welder qualifications as per ASME and project standards.
• 2\) Select suitable welding processes and materials; ensure PWHT, consumable traceability, and welding documentation.
• 3\) Review and interpret NDT reports (UT, RT, MT, PT, VT) and perform VT/LPT as required.
• 4\) Prepare and review NDT procedures, ITPs, and inspection records for Manufacturing Data Books.
• 5\) Coordinate with production teams and subcontractors; resolve welding and NDT non\-conformities.
• 6\) Support customer and third\-party inspections and audits.

Skills \& Competencies

• 1\) Strong understanding of ASME, ASTM, API, AWS, IBR, NACE.
• 2\) Expertise in metallurgy, weldability, heat input control, welding defects.
• 3\) Ability to troubleshoot weld failures, porosity, cracking, HAZ issues.
• 4\) Strong knowledge of NDT techniques and defect characterization.
• 5\) Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and P\&IDs.
• 6\) Strong documentation and cross\-functional communication.

Qualifications \& Experience

• 1\) BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Welding Engineering.
• 2\) 2–5 Yrs experience in valve or piping fabrication industry.
• 3\) Level II certification in UT, RT, MPT, DPT, VT as per ASNT/ISO 9712\.
• 4\) Certified Welding Inspector preferred.
