This is a founding role because we're still building the engineering execution function, ownership model, and future technical team. We need a senior engineering leader who can work directly with our CTO and make the technology deliver on the ground, every single day.

• *Your Mandate**

As our Founding Engineering Lead, you will translate technology direction into strong implementation, predictable delivery, and reliable production systems.

• *You will:**

• *1\.** Review critical architecture and codebases in depth

• *2\.** Guide high\-stakes technical and implementation decisions

• *3\.** Resolve production bottlenecks and delivery risks

• *4\.** Coordinate core engineers, specialists, and technical contributors

• *5\.** Establish production\-grade engineering and release standards

• *6\.** Improve accountability across the technical organization

• *7\.** Convert ambitious AI research and technical plans into deterministic, working platforms

• *8\.** This is a hands\-on execution role for someone who wants to build, guide, and ship at scale.

• *Your First Six Months:**

• Establish the Technical Reality
• Review the architecture, codebase, cloud infrastructure, multi\-agent workflows, data pipelines, security controls, technical debt, and team ownership.
• Turn findings into a prioritised, high\-impact execution roadmap.
• Identify what must be fixed, what should be simplified, and what is strong enough to scale without rewrite overhead.

• *Stabilise Critical Workflows**

• *Take direct engineering ownership across high\-impact systems:**

• Authentication, authorization, and zero\-trust security controls
• High\-throughput payload processing and backend services
• Autonomous agent orchestration, execution, and state handling
• Multi\-model LLM/LFM routing, context management, and fallback mechanisms
• Vector storage, retrieval\-augmented generation (RAG), and hybrid search pipelines
• Real\-time telemetry, session handling, and platform analytics
• Billing, access management, and subscription systems
• OpenTelemetry\-based logging, monitoring, and incident response
• Ensure all user\-facing and high\-stakes enterprise workflows are reliable, observable, and strictly owned.
• Build Engineering Discipline

• *Establish practical standards for:**

• Code and architecture reviews
• Automated testing and continuous integration (CI/CD)
• Technical documentation and API contracts
• Security assessments and vulnerability management
• Performance tracking and latency optimization
• Post\-mortem incident ownership and root\-cause resolution
• Systematic technical\-debt tracking

• *Strengthen the Agentic AI Platform**

• *Work alongside the CTO and AI contributors to improve:**

• Multi\-model LLM/LFM orchestration and autonomous agent routing
• Hybrid search, vector retrieval (Qdrant), and reranking precision
• Context window management and memory persistence
• Prompt engineering, configuration versioning, and policy guardrails
• AI evaluation, benchmarking, and deterministic verification frameworks
• Latency reduction and model inference cost optimization
• Full\-stack AI telemetry and agent observability

• *Lead Engineering Execution**

• Lead a lean mix of internal engineers and external specialists across product, cloud, and AI engineering.
• Clarify service ownership, coordinate releases, mentor engineers, and address technical hiring gaps.
• Balance system breadth with technical depth—combining strong engineering judgment with the ability to build specialist\-driven teams.

• *What You Will Own**

• *In close partnership with the CTO, you will own day\-to\-day engineering execution across:**

• Architecture implementation and system delivery
• Code quality, test coverage, and release predictability
• Production readiness, uptime, and system reliability
• Standard operating procedures for incident management
• Technical documentation and system specs
• Team execution velocity and accountability
• Vendor, contractor, and partner coordination
• Technical hiring, candidate evaluation, and team building

You will hold direct authority to challenge decisions that introduce unnecessary risk, delay, cost, or architectural complexity.

Technologies such as Kafka, ClickHouse, Elasticsearch, Spark, Kong, or Kubernetes/EKS are introduced or expanded strictly when operational demands and high throughput justify them.

• You are highly experienced with Python, Node.js, TypeScript, and modern API/data protocols.
• You have hands\-on experience building LLM applications, autonomous agentic workflows, fine\-tuning techniques, vector search, or AI orchestration.
• You design explicitly for reliability, maintainability, low latency, and cost efficiency.
• You have practical experience with CI/CD, containerization, cloud infrastructure, OpenTelemetry, and incident management.
• You actively seek to simplify complex, over\-engineered architectures.
• You evaluate technical decisions through the lens of business value and real\-world execution.
• You are adaptable, thrive in high\-autonomy environments, and excel under ambiguity.
• Prior domain experience in enterprise AI, SaaS, data platforms, or cloud infrastructure is highly desirable. This role is exceptionally suited for former technical founders, senior startup architects, or engineering leaders seeking a founding stake.

• *Compensation \& Commitment**

This is an ESOP\-led founding leadership role.

• *Fixed Salary:** No fixed monthly salary during the current stage.

• *Salary Commencement:** Fixed compensation will kick off upon completing a target fundraising round or reaching self\-sustaining revenue capable of supporting leadership payroll.

• *Equity:** Shortlisted candidates will receive full transparency into the indicative ESOP structure, vesting terms, commitment milestones, and salary\-trigger conditions during initial executive discussions.

• *Performance Incentives:** Additional performance\-linked equity grants or incentives will be evaluated based on execution benchmarks.

There is no fixed timeline for fundraising or profitability. This role requires an entrepreneurial commitment driven by ownership, high agency, and long\-term equity upside.
