• *Position Summary:**
• *Role: SDET I**

As an SDET I at Deloitte Consulting, you will support the delivery of quality technology solutions by executing testing activities across data integration, data warehousing, and migration initiatives. In this role, you will analyze requirements, design test scenarios and test cases, execute testing, document defects, and support defect triage through resolution. You will also help maintain quality standards, improve testing processes, and contribute to consistent project delivery across client engagements.

• *Work you'll do**

As an SDET I on the Engineering as a Service team, you will be responsible for

• Participate in business requirements discussions with client, onshore, and offshore teams to clarify requirements and define ETL, integration, and data migration test scenarios

• Design, document, and maintain ETL and integration test cases, test scripts, and traceability artifacts based on business and functional requirements

• Prepare and provision test data, validate data mappings, and execute data validation activities across ingestion, transformation, and migration workflows

• Perform test execution, log and triage defects, document test results, and track dependencies or risks affecting testing activities through closure

• Support quality engineering activities by contributing to performance test reporting, process improvement, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the team

Our flexible delivery models—traditional teams, pools, or pods—are tailored to each client’s needs, offering engineering\-led advisory, implementation, and operational capabilities to accelerate innovation.

• *Location: Bengaluru/Hyderabad/Pune/Chennai**
• *Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM and 2 PM to 11 PM**
• *Qualifications**

Required

• 1\+ years of experience testing data validation scenarios, data ingestion workflows, data pipelines, and transformation processes

• Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), including joins, aggregations, and data validation queries

• Experience with at least one cloud platform, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Experience creating test scenarios and test cases from functional requirements and data mapping documents

• Experience using test management and defect tracking tools to execute tests, log defects, and support defect triage

• Experience with ETL testing, integration testing, or data migration testing across software development lifecycle and software testing lifecycle environments

• Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, Master of Computer Applications, or Master of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent degree

Preferred

• 1\+ years of experience in application programming interface (API) testing, including JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) or Extensible Markup Language (XML)

• Experience with service virtualization tools such as CA DevTest, Parasoft, or CA Lisa

• Experience analyzing data migration from source systems to target systems in cloud or on\-premises environments

• Experience reviewing database query performance or execution plans

• Experience with big data tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Hive, Hadoop, or Dask

• Experience with scripting for test automation using Unix shell or Python
