• *Position Summary:**
• *Role: SDET II**

As an SDET II at Deloitte Consulting, you will deliver high\-quality testing outcomes across ETL, data warehouse, and data migration initiatives. In this role, you will translate functional and nonfunctional requirements into structured test scenarios, execute testing activities, document and triage defects, and support timely delivery across project milestones. You will also contribute to quality assurance practices, collaborate with cross\-functional teams, and help drive consistent, scalable testing approaches across engagements.

• *Work you'll do**

As an SDET II on the Engineering as a Service team, you will be responsible for

• Analyze business, functional, and nonfunctional requirements to design ETL, integration, and data migration test scenarios, test cases, and traceability artifacts.

• Execute ETL, integration, and data validation testing, document defects, support defect triage, and track issues through resolution.

• Validate data mappings, transformation logic, and pipeline outputs to help ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across source and target systems.

• Create and maintain test data, test documentation, and test result reports, including performance testing outputs where applicable.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborate with onshore and offshore teams, escalate risks or blockers, and contribute to continuous improvement and test automation efforts.

• *Location:** Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Pune/Chennai
• *Shift Timings:** 11 AM to 8 PM and 2 PM to 11 PM
• *Qualifications**

Required

• 3\-6 years of hands\-on experience in testing data validation scenarios and Data ingestion, pipelines, and transformation processes.

• Hands\-on experience on Cloud platform like AWS, Azure, GCP etc.

• Hands On experience and strong knowledge of complex SQL queries including aggregation logic.

• An understanding of big data engineering tools and how they can be used strategically (e.g. Spark, Hive, Hadoop, Dask).

• Experience in analyzing Data Mappings, Functional requirements and converting them into test scenarios / cases.

• Experience in different test phases with standardized QA Processes

• Experience with QA specific tools for test management, test execution progress, defect tracking and triaging.

• Experience in different SDLC/STLC lifecycles and methodologies.

• Understanding of Test Strategy \& Test Planning

• Experience in defect logging, tracking, and closing defects

• Experience in test status reporting and managing a small team of 2\-3 members (for tenured consultants)

• Strong understanding of different software development life cycles (Agile, waterfall) and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automated tools

• Knowledge and 3\+ year experience with modern testing development practices and integrated testing products such as Pyspark based automation, Market tools like (QuerySerge, Talend, ETL Validator etc.) and their integration with tools such as Gitlab, etc.

• Experience with scripting languages like Unix Shell or Python for automating ETL testing.

• Hands\-on experience on data modelling and data profiling tool.

• Perform analysis of data migration from various sources to target system in Cloud platform/ On prem environment.

• Flexibility to adapt and apply innovation to varied business domain and apply technical solutioning and learnings to use cases across business domains and industries

**Preferred**

• 2\+ yrs. of experience in API testing (JSON,XML), API automation, creation of virtualized services, service virtualization testing using any of the industry tools like CA Dev Test/Parasoft/ CA Lisa

• Ability to perform estimation of test activities using quantitative methods

• Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office tool

• Experience on analyzing slow performing database queries / execution plan analysis.

• 3–6 years of experience working with ETL testing and Data migration testing.
