As part of our growth journey toward becoming a large\-scale, technology\-driven apparel manufacturing organization, we are looking for an experienced Factory Manager who can lead end\-to\-end factory operations, improve productivity, strengthen systems, and drive operational excellence.
Job Summary
The Factory Manager will be responsible for overall factory performance, production planning, manpower management, quality, cost control, delivery adherence, compliance, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience managing large garment manufacturing operations with exposure to exports, lean manufacturing, industrial engineering, and multi\-department coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
* Lead daily factory operations across
- Cutting
- Sewing

- Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Monitor production efficiency and line performance.
- Coordinate with Merchandising and Planning teams to meet shipment schedules.
- Eliminate production bottlenecks and improve throughput.
Factory Operations
- Manage overall factory workflow and department coordination.
- Optimize machine utilization and manpower productivity.
- Monitor capacity planning and production loading.
- Conduct daily production review meetings.
- Ensure smooth execution from order receipt to shipment.
Productivity Improvement
- Implement Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Improve line balancing and operational efficiency.
- Reduce idle time and non\-value\-added activities.
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality Management
- Ensure adherence to buyer quality standards.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance teams.
- Reduce defects, rework, and rejection rates.
- Implement root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain Right First Time (RFT) performance.
Cost Control
- Control manufacturing costs.
- Reduce wastage in fabric, trims, printing, embroidery, and packing.
- Monitor labor cost per garment.
- Improve operational profitability.
- Track department\-wise efficiency and cost performance.
Manpower Management
- Manage department heads, supervisors, and production teams.
- Ensure workforce discipline and productivity.
- Conduct performance reviews.
- Develop succession planning for key positions.
- Improve employee engagement and retention.
Compliance \& Safety
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and factory regulations.
- Maintain buyer compliance requirements.
- Support audits such as SEDEX, WRAP, SA8000, GOTS, and customer audits.
- Ensure workplace safety standards are followed.
- Conduct safety reviews and corrective actions.
ERP \& Systems
- Drive ERP\-based factory management.
- Ensure accurate production reporting.
- Improve data\-driven decision\-making.
- Develop KPI dashboards.
- Reduce dependency on manual spreadsheets.

Required Qualifications
Education
- B.E. / B.Tech (Textiles, Apparel, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical) OR
- Degree/Diploma in Apparel Manufacturing, Textile Technology, or related field.
Experience
- 12\+ years in garment manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years as Factory Manager, Production Head, Operations Manager, or Unit Head.
- Experience handling export garment factories.
- Experience managing 500\+ workers preferred.
- Strong exposure to knitwear manufacturing preferred.
