Financial Analyst

The Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance (RRQA) team is responsible for providing governance and oversight of AMEX’s regulatory reporting processes, with a focus on proactively identifying risks and control improvement opportunities to ensure reports remain accurate, complete, and compliant. This is achieved through Quality Assurance reviews, which include the following pillars:

• Process and controls testing
• Validation of reported data against regulatory instructions

Detailed analysis and testing of underlying data to ensure data quality

This work is increasingly enabled by continuous monitoring and advanced analytics to enhance risk identification and coverage. The team partners closely with Regulatory Report owners, Technology, Data Governance, and other stakeholders to strengthen the control environment, drive timely remediation, and evolve capabilities through the use of innovative tools, including emerging analytics and GenAI solutions.

• *Minimum Qualifications**

• 3\+ years of relevant experience in quality assurance, audit, risk management, regulatory reporting, technology, data analytics, and/or other financial services functions.
• Hands\-on experience developing analytics using data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms).
• Ability to translate business requirements, risks, controls, and processes into analytical solutions and actionable insights.
• Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and recommend practical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate analytical findings to both technical and non\-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or related field (e.g., Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems).

• *Preferred Qualifications**

• 2\+ years of hands\-on experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining analytics that support quality assurance, audit, risk management, regulatory reporting, or other financial services functions.
• Experience with programming and data querying languages such as SQL, Python, or similar.
• Experience developing dashboards, automated reporting, data visualizations, or continuous monitoring solutions.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies (e.g., GenAI) and their application to data analytics, quality assurance, and risk management.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high\-quality analytical solutions in a dynamic, evolving environment.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative or related field.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, CAP, or analytics/technology\-focused equivalents).
