• *About the Opportunity**

We are looking for an enthusiastic and technically curious Mechanical Design \& Development Engineer to join a confidential research, invention and manufacturing initiative being developed under Glamaxia.

This is an opportunity to become part of an early\-stage engineering team working on the development of a novel, technology\-driven physical product. The project will involve translating preliminary engineering concepts into practical designs, developing mechanical systems, building prototypes, conducting experiments and preparing the product for manufacturing.

Unlike conventional engineering roles that primarily involve working with established products or production processes, this opportunity offers exposure to the development of something new from the ground up.

You will work closely with the Founder and the engineering team, contributing to important design and development decisions throughout the invention process.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Participate in mechanical research, product conceptualisation and engineering development.
• Convert preliminary concepts, sketches and technical requirements into detailed mechanical designs.
• Develop 2D engineering drawings, 3D models, assemblies and technical documentation.
• Work on mechanical structures, motion systems, precision mechanisms, material selection and component integration.
• Evaluate structural strength, load distribution, stability, vibration, tolerances and mechanical performance.
• Identify suitable materials, components, fabrication techniques and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with fabrication and manufacturing professionals to develop functional prototypes.
• Conduct mechanical testing, troubleshooting, calibration and design improvements.
• Maintain engineering documentation, design revisions, test observations and development records.
• Collaborate with electrical and electronics engineers to ensure seamless integration between mechanical and electronic systems.

• *Technical Skills \& Qualifications**

• *Educational Background**

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Diploma holders in Mechanical Engineering with strong practical skills and project experience may also apply.
• Fresh graduates with exceptional technical aptitude and relevant academic or personal projects are encouraged to apply.

• *Preferred Technical Skills**

• Working knowledge of SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.
• Understanding of 2D drafting, 3D modelling, mechanical assemblies and engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of engineering mechanics, material properties, machine design and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with bearings, gears, motors, shafts, couplings, linear motion systems and precision mechanisms.
• Understanding of manufacturing methods such as machining, welding, sheet\-metal fabrication and CNC processes.
• Knowledge of GD\&T, dimensional tolerances, fits and clearances will be an advantage.
• Exposure to FEA, ANSYS or mechanical simulation tools is desirable.
