Job Summary

We are looking for a Freelance Network Infrastructure \& Structured Cabling Engineer to support network installation, structured cabling, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting activities at various customer locations.

This opportunity is suitable for freshers, IT/networking students, and freelancers who are interested in gaining hands\-on experience in network infrastructure and structured cabling projects.

The engineer will work on an assignment basis and assist with network cabling, rack installation, patch panel termination, switch installation, and basic network connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A network cables.
• Perform RJ45 termination, crimping, and punch\-down activities.
• Install, dress, organize, and label patch panels, network racks, and cables.
• Assist with the installation and connectivity of network switches, routers, and Wireless Access Points (WAPs).
• Perform basic cable testing, continuity testing, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with fiber optic and copper cable installation and basic testing.
• Identify and resolve basic physical\-layer network connectivity issues.
• Follow proper cable management, safety, and site\-work practices.
• Maintain basic network infrastructure documentation and cable labeling records.
• Visit customer sites as per project requirements.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of computer networking and TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of LAN, switches, routers, and Wi\-Fi.
• Basic understanding of structured cabling.
• Familiarity with RJ45 crimping tools, punch\-down tools, and cable testers is an advantage.
• Good communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations.
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks on time.

Eligibility

• Freshers and freelancers are welcome.
• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / ITI in Networking, Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related field preferred.
• CCNA or basic networking certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Candidates with practical networking or cabling experience will be preferred.
