Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee overall business operations, production, manufacturing, and plant management. The ideal candidate should have 20\+ years of experience in the heavy machinery, machine shop, or general engineering industry, with strong leadership, technical, operational, and strategic management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee overall manufacturing operations, production planning, and execution.
• Manage machine shop activities, including CNC, VMC, HMC, turning, milling, and other machining operations.
• Ensure production targets, product quality, cost control, and timely delivery.
• Lead and manage production, quality, maintenance, planning, stores, and other operational teams.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and profitability.
• Monitor machine utilization, manpower planning, material availability, and production costs.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and waste minimization.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth business operations.
• Prepare and review MIS reports, budgets, KPIs, and operational performance reports.
• Handle customer escalations, technical issues, and critical production challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and TPM.
• Develop leadership capabilities among department heads and ensure effective team performance.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong experience in heavy machinery manufacturing, machine shop operations, or general engineering.
• Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, production planning, and quality management.
• Proven experience in plant management and handling large production teams.
• Strong leadership, decision\-making, and problem\-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of cost management, budgeting, productivity improvement, and operational excellence.
• Ability to manage multiple departments and achieve business targets.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

Eligibility Criteria

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or engineering industries.
• Candidates from heavy machinery, machine shop, and general engineering companies are preferred.
• Experience in a senior leadership role, such as General Manager, Plant Head, Operations Head, or equivalent, is highly desirable.
