1\. Local People Leadership – India CWM Team
- Serve as the local people leader for India\-based CWM team members, fostering a high\-performance, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
- Provide day\-to\-day coaching, feedback, and performance input in alignment with global CWM leadership and HR processes.
- Partner with the GIC Talent Services Lead, CWM Manager \& leads and HR on staffing coordination, workload monitoring, hiring logistics, onboarding logistics, and development needs for the India CWM team.
- Act as a local escalation point for India team members on people and team\-related topics, escalating complex issues to CWM Leads, HR, or Employee Relations as needed.
2\. Light Industrial Portfolio Support – India and Future In\-Region Locations
- Act as the primary LI CWM consultant for a defined portfolio of plants in India and future in\-region LI locations, applying global LI strategy and standards locally.
- Consult with plant HR and business leaders on LI contingent talent needs, connecting them to global standards and recommending options consistent with the direction set by the CWM Manager and CWM Lead – Light Industrial.
- Partner with Procurement, HR, Finance, and vendors to support LI\-related operational execution, escalating strategic vendor decisions to the CWM Manager, CWM Lead – Light Industrial, and Procurement as appropriate.
- Serve as the first point of contact for LI CWM operational issues such as chronic fill challenges, compliance concerns, or safety\-related topics, escalating structural or high\-risk issues to the CWM Lead – Light Industrial.
3\. India Compliance, Process Setup \& Stakeholder Navigation
- Implement CWM standards, workflows, and guardrails defined by US CWM Leads, ensuring consistent execution by the India CWM team across supported plants and worker types.
- Monitor workload and help coordinate local execution across the India team based on priorities set by US CWM leaders.
- Ensure core operational activities, including requisition support, onboarding and offboarding, compliance checks, and time or invoice issue resolution, are completed accurately, on time, and in line with global and local policies.
- Support execution of India\-specific CWM processes and local compliance requirements, including labor\-law\-related process needs, documentation, vendor guidance, audit support, and related operational controls, escalating higher\-risk or interpretive issues to the appropriate partners.
- Maintain and update local process documentation, including guides, checklists, and templates, for India CWM operations in alignment with global standards.
- Use available reports and dashboards to identify trends in India CWM operations and summarize insights and recommendations for US CWM Leads.
- Provide local market context and help identify relevant stakeholders in India, while connecting plant HR and business leaders to the appropriate US CWM Lead for strategic, non\-standard, or portfolio\-level decisions
4\. CWM Optimization Projects \& Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and execute automation and AI deployment opportunities in process to derive efficiencies
- Execute selected CWM optimization projects and standardization initiatives in alignment with strategy and work direction from the CWM Manager.
- Provide India\-specific operational input for agreed process, reporting, system, or capability enhancements that support broader CWM effectiveness, consistency, and scalability.
- *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
Education
- Post Graduate Diploma / MBA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- *PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
Knowledge \& Experience* Typically, 8\+ years of industry experience, of which 6\+ years of experience in Contingent Workforce Management, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, or a related field, ideally with exposure to plant operations or light industrial environments.
- Preferred to be from Top MNCs (GMI Peers, ITeS) operating out of India
- Experience working within a global or multi‑country CWM or vendor management program strongly preferred.
- Prior experience coaching or leading team (e.g., mentoring, acting as a point of contact for a team); formal people‑leader experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience using a Vendor Management System (VMS) such as Workday VNDLY, SAP Fieldglass for requisition management, onboarding, reporting, and/or issue resolution.
Core Skills* Strong operational discipline and follow‑through, managing multiple activities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to collaborate across time zones and cultures.
- Solid analytical skills, able to interpret data and surface clear, concise insights and recommendations.
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority, escalating the right topics to US CWM Leads while handling day‑to‑day operational questions locally.
- High degree of discretion, judgment, attention to detail and integrity in handling sensitive data, people issues, and vendor relationships.
