Head Accountant

• *About the Role**

Ideate Informatics is looking for a Head of Accounts to lead the accounting function of our manufacturing unit. You will own the books, statutory compliance, cost accounting and financial reporting for the plant. You will also build a disciplined, professional accounts team and act as a trusted finance partner to plant and business leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• *Accounting \& Financial Reporting**

• Oversee the full accounting cycle: general ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory accounting and month/quarter/year\-end closing.
• Prepare accurate, timely MIS, management reports, variance analysis and financial statements.
• Ensure books comply with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / IGAAP).

• *Cost Accounting \& Manufacturing Finance**

• Lead standard costing, BOM costing, product/job costing and margin analysis.
• Monitor inventory valuation, WIP, scrap, yield and wastage, and reconcile physical stock with books.
• Track plant\-level cost drivers and recommend cost reduction measures.

• *Taxation \& Statutory Compliance**

• Ensure timely GST, TDS/TCS, income tax, PF/ESI, professional tax and other statutory filings and reconciliations.
• Manage statutory, internal and cost audits, and coordinate with auditors and tax consultants.
• Handle assessments, notices and departmental queries.

• *Budgeting, Cash Flow \& Controls**

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and monthly budget vs. actual reviews.
• Manage working capital, cash flow planning, vendor payments and collections.
• Strengthen internal controls, SOPs and risk management; support internal audit findings closure.

• *Systems \& Process**

• Drive ERP\-based accounting (SAP / Tally / Oracle / equivalent), automation and process improvement.
• Ensure data integrity across procurement, stores, production and finance.

• *Team Leadership**

• Lead, mentor and develop the accounts team, with clear roles and a defined senior–junior reporting structure.
• Set standards for professionalism, accountability, deadlines and workplace conduct.
• Conduct performance reviews and succession planning.

Qualifications \& Experience

• **Education:** CA (preferred) / CMA / MBA\-Finance / M.Com.
• **Experience:** 12–15\+ years in accounts and finance, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment and 3\+ years in a team\-lead or head role.

Skills \& Competencies

• Strong command of cost accounting, inventory valuation and manufacturing finance
• In\-depth knowledge of GST, TDS, Ind AS and Companies Act requirements
• Hands\-on ERP and advanced Excel skills
• Analytical, detail\-oriented and deadline\-driven
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management
• High integrity and sound judgement

Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000\.00 \- ₹60,000\.00 per month
