Job Description

  • *About Ramsons Perfumes**

Ramsons Perfumes is an Indian fragrance company with in\-house manufacturing and a presence across D2C, marketplaces, quick commerce, general trade, modern trade and institutional channels. Our digital business is being rebuilt as a structured, data\-led function. This role is one of its core leadership hires.

  • *Role purpose**
  • Build and run an e\-commerce operation that grows profitably and does not depend on any one person.
  • Own the channel P\&L at contribution\-margin level, not just revenue.
  • Make fulfilment, inventory and marketplace performance predictable through systems, SOPs and dashboards.
  • Free the Head of Digital from day\-to\-day operational escalations.
  • *Key responsibilities**
  • *1\. Channel P\&L and unit economics**
  • Own SKU\-level contribution margin by channel, after commissions, shipping, RTO, returns and discounts.
  • Reprice, rebundle or delist SKUs that lose money on a channel.
  • Approve promotion and discount depth jointly with finance.
  • *2\. Catalog and listing management**
  • Own listings, A\+ content, titles, keywords and pricing parity across all channels.
  • Ensure Legal Metrology compliance on every listing: MRP, net quantity, manufacturer and origin details.
  • Design variant, combo and gift\-set architecture to lift AOV.
  • Run listing launches for new products within agreed timelines.
  • *3\. Inventory and demand planning**
  • Forecast channel\-wise demand and place stock across FBA, Flipkart fulfilment and quick\-commerce dark stores.
  • Keep top SKUs in stock and flag aged or slow\-moving inventory early.
  • Plan festive and sale\-event peaks (Diwali, Valentine's, Prime Day, Big Billion Days) 3–4 weeks ahead.
  • *4\. Order fulfilment and logistics**
  • Manage 3PL and warehouse SLAs, courier mix and pincode serviceability.
  • Handle dangerous\-goods requirements for perfumes: surface\-only lanes, courier restrictions, compliant packaging.
  • Reduce breakage and leakage through packaging specs, drop tests and courier claim recovery.
  • *5\. RTO, returns and COD control**
  • Drive COD\-to\-prepaid conversion, address verification and RTO risk rules at checkout.
  • Set and enforce a returns policy that blocks used or tampered\-product returns.
  • Track RTO and return cost as a percentage of GMV by channel and pincode cluster.
  • *6\. Marketplace account health**
  • Maintain seller ratings, cancellation rate, dispatch timelines and policy compliance.
  • Win and hold the buy box on core SKUs.
  • Monitor and act against unauthorised sellers and counterfeits through brand registry.
  • Reconcile commissions and fees and raise claims and settlement disputes.
  • *7\. Customer experience operations**
  • Own support SLAs, ticket categorisation, CSAT and review management.
  • Run WhatsApp order\-update and support flows.
  • *8\. Payments and reconciliation**
  • Reconcile payment gateway, COD remittance and marketplace settlements with finance every month.
  • Run leakage audits: unpaid orders, wrong commission slabs, unclaimed courier losses.
  • *9\. Systems, automation and team**
  • Own OMS/WMS processes and cross\-channel inventory sync.
  • Structuring SOPs for every recurring task and build dashboards the team runs without escalation.
  • Hire, train and lead the e\-commerce operations team.
  • *What this role does not own**
  • Paid media and ad budgets
  • Creative and brand positioning
  • Factory production planning
  • Website development
  • General trade, modern trade, export and institutional sales
  • *Who we're looking for**
  • *Must have**
  • 7–10 years in e\-commerce operations, with at least 3 years leading a team.
  • Has run D2C and marketplace operations together for a consumer brand (FMCG, beauty, personal care orsimilar).
  • Has built a SKU\-level contribution margin model and used it to make pricing or assortment decisions.
  • Has reduced RTO, returns or stock\-outs measurably, with before\-and\-after numbers.
  • Knows marketplace fee structures, settlement cycles and account\-health rules in detail.
  • Strong in Excel; comfortable with dashboards and working with data.
  • Has written SOPs that a team still follows.
  • *Education**
  • Graduate, Engineering or Commerce preferred.
  • MBA in Operations, Supply Chain or Marketing is a plus, not a requirement.
  • *Good to have**
  • Fragrance, beauty or cosmetics category experience.
  • Shopify, third\-party checkout and OMS/WMS experience.
  • SQL or Power BI.

Pay: ₹1,800,000\.00 \- ₹2,400,000\.00 per year
