• *About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced **Head of ERP Product Design \& Functional Architecture** to lead the functional design and architecture of complex ERP systems and enterprise applications.

This is not a conventional UI/UX leadership role. It combines product thinking, ERP domain knowledge, business process expertise, functional architecture, technical understanding, and client\-facing leadership.

The role will lead a multidisciplinary team of UI/UX Designers, Business Analysts, and Technical Documentation Writers to translate business requirements into scalable functionality, integrated workflows, and implementation\-ready specifications.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• *1\. ERP Product Strategy \& Functional Design**

• Lead functional design and product experience across ERP modules.
• Translate business requirements into scalable features, workflows, and business rules.
• Ensure consistency across modules and identify functional gaps or process inefficiencies.
• Evaluate requirements based on business value, feasibility, scalability, and maintainability.

• *2\. Functional Architecture \& Workflow Design**

• Design multi\-module ERP architecture covering Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Sales, Inventory, HR, CRM, and Operations.
• Define module relationships, data flows, transaction lifecycles, validations, permissions, and dependencies.
• Design end\-to\-end workflows, approval hierarchies, notifications, exception handling, and automated processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure functional designs are technically feasible and scalable.

• *3\. API \& System Integration**

• Define functional API and integration requirements in collaboration with Engineering.
• Document data mappings, API operations, validations, dependencies, and error\-handling scenarios.
• Review integration specifications for functional completeness and consistency.

• *4\. UI/UX \& Business Analysis Leadership**

• Lead UI/UX Designers and guide wireframes, prototypes, user journeys, and design systems.
• Lead Business Analysts in preparing functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Review and approve functional specifications and designs before development handoff.
• Ensure requirements cover business rules, exceptions, dependencies, and edge cases.

• *5\. Product Documentation**

• Lead Technical Documentation Writers and establish documentation standards.
• Ensure preparation and maintenance of PRDs, functional specifications, API documentation, process diagrams, and user guides.
• Maintain requirements traceability and a single source of truth for approved product functionality.

• *6\. Client \& Stakeholder Management**

• Lead client discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and design walkthroughs.
• Understand business challenges and translate them into functional solutions.
• Manage client expectations, clarify scope, and document functional decisions.
• Coordinate with Product, Engineering, QA, Implementation, Sales, and other stakeholders.

• *7\. Product vs. Customization Decisions**

• Evaluate requirements and classify them as core product, configurable, integration\-based, client\-specific customization, deferred, or rejected.
• Assess business value, technical feasibility, development effort, and long\-term maintenance impact.
• Ensure customizations do not compromise product scalability, consistency, or upgradeability.

• *8\. Team Leadership \& Decision\-Making**

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of UI/UX Designers, Business Analysts, and Technical Documentation Writers.
• Allocate resources, establish quality standards, and manage priorities.
• Make independent functional decisions and resolve cross\-functional issues.
• Escalate strategic, contractual, or high\-impact decisions to senior management.

• *Required Skills \& Qualifications**

• Strong experience in ERP and multi\-module enterprise product design.
• Expertise in business process mapping, workflow design, and functional architecture.
• Proficiency in PRDs, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Functional understanding of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, SQL, and data relationships.
• Experience with Figma or equivalent wireframing and prototyping tools.
• Proficiency in Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and software development lifecycle.
• Excellent client communication, analytical thinking, and decision\-making skills.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholders.

• *Educational Qualifications \& Experience**

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA / PG preferred.
• 7–10\+ years of relevant experience in ERP, enterprise software, product design, functional architecture, or business systems analysis.
• Minimum 2–3 years of team leadership or ownership of significant product design initiatives.
• Proven experience in client\-facing requirements discovery and enterprise product development.
• Practical understanding of API integrations, data flows, and system dependencies.

• *Preferred Skills \& Certifications**

• Experience in banking, finance, accounting, payments, or enterprise business applications.
• Knowledge of BPMN, UML, Swagger/OpenAPI, and Postman.
• Familiarity with multi\-tenant SaaS, approval workflows, and audit requirements.
• CBAP / CCBA, CSPO, SAFe Product Owner, BPMN / UML, or relevant ERP certifications.

• *What We Are Looking For**

A product\-minded functional leader who can understand complex business processes, design scalable ERP functionality, lead multidisciplinary teams, and make independent decisions while ensuring product quality, usability, and long\-term maintainability.

Pay: ₹100,000\.00 \- ₹200,000\.00 per month
