Head of Technology & Product

• *CozmoTec** is seeking an experienced **Head of Technology \& Product** to lead technology strategy, software engineering, product development, and technical delivery. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands\-on technical expertise with strategic leadership to build scalable, secure, and high\-performance software solutions.

You will be responsible for technology architecture, platform modernisation, engineering team leadership, product roadmap execution, cybersecurity, and the adoption of AI and automation to drive business growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute technology strategy and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Lead software architecture, application development, and the modernisation of legacy systems.
• Oversee engineering teams, establish technical standards, and promote clean code, documentation, and code reviews.
• Manage product roadmaps, agile delivery, sprint planning, resource allocation, and release management.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, including security, monitoring, backups, scalability, and cost optimisation.
• Design and manage APIs, integrations, and high\-performance systems, including search and data\-processing solutions.
• Establish quality assurance practices, automated testing, incident management, and production monitoring.
• Ensure cybersecurity, data protection, disaster recovery, and applicable regulatory compliance.
• Identify and implement AI, AI agents, and automation initiatives that deliver measurable business value.
• Collaborate with leadership and business stakeholders to align technology priorities with commercial goals.
• Manage technology vendors, external development partners, budgets, and technical investments.
• Mentor engineering teams, support technical recruitment, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required Skills \& Experience

• Proven experience leading software engineering and technology teams.
• Strong hands\-on expertise in PHP/Laravel and modern JavaScript technologies, preferably Node.js and Next.js.
• Experience modernising legacy applications while maintaining business\-critical systems.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, domain\-driven design, REST APIs, and system integrations.
• Practical experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, security, monitoring, and cost optimisation.
• Experience with Elasticsearch or similar search technologies and large\-scale data processing.
• Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing.
• Experience in product roadmap planning, project delivery, resource management, and vendor coordination.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection, and operational resilience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem\-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to connect technology decisions with measurable business outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing AI, automation, or AI\-assisted software development solutions.
• Familiarity with headless CMS platforms, technical SEO, analytics, and business intelligence.
• Experience building SaaS platforms or digital products for international clients.
