Application Development Associate Analyst \- Accounting \& IM Mainframe is responsible for ensuring the stability, efficiency, and compliance of enterprise applications across their lifecycle. This role supports both business and technology production operations, through performing coordinating fixes, maintaining architecture currency, and driving operational excellence. The position requires a strong understanding of application ecosystems, business processes, and regulatory requirements.
\< \>Perform production fixes including troubleshooting with technology and business partners through solution implementation and validation. Coordinate with upstream/downstream systems for issue resolution, scheduling, and change notifications. Monitor job run times and tune performance to meet SLAs/OLAs.
\< \>Support daily/weekly/monthly/annual business processes requiring close collaboration between IT and business teams. Manage batch cycles, code promotions, and release implementations. Maintain application health checks and monitor reliability/availability.
\< \>Ensure architecture currency through updates and maintenance aligned with enterprise standards. Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Sunset obsolete jobs, reports, and applications following retention protocols.
\< \>Maintain system and process documentation including CMDB audits, SMTD reviews, system runbooks, and security diagrams.Update knowledge bases including process and procedures documentation to reflect current operational practices and technical configurations.
\< \>Collaborate with software vendors to resolve hosted solution issues including patching, packaging, and firewall coordination. Respond to infrastructure and compliance surveys (e.g., CSCI, CMDB Security Profiles).Support legal/regulatory requirements including SOX testing, CIP remediation, and segregation of duties.
\< \>Provide baseline support for strategic initiatives. Maintain applications/code in response to technological changes (e.g. server upgrades, mainframe rationalization).Perform small enhancements as directed by business or leadership.
\< \>Conduct disaster recovery testing and ensure readiness of applications.Support CIP initiatives and Vulnerabilities Remediation.
\< \>Prepare and present operational status reports (e.g., MOR decks, WSRs) to leadership. Communicate production health, open issues, and improvement opportunities to stakeholders.
\< \>Perform additional responsibilities as required to support the team, department, or organization’s goals and initiatives.
\< \>Strong technology skills in area of technology – Mainframe0\-1 years experience in enterprise application development using:Core Mainframe Skills COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, Easytrieve, REXX Familiarity with RACF Debugging tools: Xpediter / Abend‑Aid / File\-Aid Performance \& job analysis using OMEGAMON, Log Analysis tools, Db2 utilities (HPU, UNLOAD, RUNSTATS) Cigna‑Specific Tools \& Ecosystem Endevor Software Manager for code promotion ESP scheduling CICS utilities such as CBAC, NEWCOPY. Proven experience in application support, production operations, and IT\-business coordination; including experience developing applications under an onshore\-offshore model.Strong understanding of upstream/downstream integrations between mainframe, Oracle, and distributed services.Experience with job scheduling tools, monitoring systems, and automation platforms.Knowledge of industry standard source control systems. Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and long\-term fixes.
