Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced CMS Architect with strong expertise in digital content architecture, enterprise content management systems, and knowledge management platforms. The ideal candidate will assess existing content ecosystems and design scalable, governed, and reusable content architectures for global websites and digital platforms.

This role focuses on content architecture, information architecture, taxonomy, metadata, content governance, localization, and knowledge management. The candidate should be capable of translating business requirements into practical architecture recommendations that improve content discoverability, consistency, reuse, and delivery across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess existing CMS, FAQ, and knowledge management ecosystems across global websites to identify architectural gaps, content duplication, and opportunities for improvement.
• Design scalable content models, classification frameworks, metadata structures, and information architectures that support reusable content across multiple websites and markets.
• Define taxonomy, tagging standards, and publishing workflows to improve content discoverability, consistency, governance, and traceability.
• Establish content reuse strategies, localization guidelines, and controlled content variations to support regional requirements without unnecessary duplication.
• Evaluate enterprise CMS, knowledge management systems, search capabilities, and content delivery platforms to recommend improvements and potential consolidation.
• Translate business and content requirements into architecture recommendations in collaboration with content strategists, business analysts, developers, and business stakeholders.
• Develop content lifecycle management frameworks covering creation, review, approval, publication, maintenance, archival, and retirement.
• Define governance models, content ownership, access controls, and compliance requirements for enterprise content repositories.
• Recommend approaches for multilingual content management, translation workflows, market\-specific publishing, and global content consistency.
• Contribute to implementation playbooks, platform evaluation documents, architecture guidelines, and transformation roadmaps.
• Identify opportunities to improve content search, knowledge discovery, content analytics, and omnichannel content delivery.

Required Technical Expertise

• Strong experience with enterprise CMS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Sitecore, Salesforce Experience Cloud, Contentful, Kentico, Drupal, SharePoint, Bloomreach, or similar platforms.
• Expertise in digital content architecture, structured content modeling, and information architecture.
• Hands\-on experience designing taxonomy, metadata models, tagging strategies, and content governance frameworks.
• Understanding of knowledge management systems, FAQ ecosystems, enterprise search, and knowledge discovery.
• Experience with content reuse, content lifecycle management, versioning, traceability, and publishing workflows.
• Understanding of localization, multilingual content delivery, translation management, and regional content variations.
• Ability to assess existing content platforms and develop architecture recommendations aligned with business and technical requirements.

Preferred Expertise

• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, medical devices, or other regulated industries.
• Knowledge of headless CMS, composable architecture, APIs, and omnichannel content delivery.
• Experience with content analytics, search relevance, customer support knowledge bases, and content discoverability.
• Familiarity with translation management systems and market\-specific governance requirements.
• Experience creating architecture roadmaps, implementation playbooks, governance documentation, and platform evaluation frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Architecture, or a related discipline.
• CMS or digital experience platform certifications are an advantage.
• Knowledge management or information architecture certifications are desirable.
