We are seeking a professional, courteous, and customer\-focused Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, welcoming guests, handling reservations, and ensuring a seamless guest experience from check\-in to check\-out.
The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality services.
Key ResponsibilitiesFront Office Operations
- Greet and welcome guests in a warm, professional, and courteous manner.
- Manage guest check\-ins and check\-outs efficiently.
- Handle room reservations, cancellations, modifications, and booking inquiries.
- Maintain accurate guest records and reservation details.
- Coordinate room allocations and ensure smooth guest arrivals and departures.
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Guest Relations \& Customer Service
- Provide guests with information regarding rooms, facilities, services, local attractions, and property amenities.
- Address guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction throughout their stay.
- Assist guests with special requests and arrangements whenever possible.
- Build positive relationships with guests to encourage repeat visits and positive reviews.
Communication \& Coordination
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and guest correspondence.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food \& Beverage, and other departments to fulfill guest requirements.
- Communicate important guest information and operational updates to relevant departments.
- Ensure timely follow\-up on guest requests and service issues.
Billing \& Cash Handling
- Process guest payments, invoices, and billing transactions accurately.
- Maintain records of cash collections, card transactions, and receipts.
- Ensure accurate billing and resolve payment\-related queries.
- Assist in preparing daily cash and shift reports.
Reservations \& Booking Management
- Manage reservations through PMS and booking platforms.
- Monitor room availability and occupancy status.
- Assist in maximizing occupancy through effective reservation management.
- Update booking systems and maintain accurate reservation records.
Reporting \& Administration
- Prepare daily arrival, departure, occupancy, and front office reports.
- Maintain guest registration records and required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Support management with administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
Qualifications \& Experience
- 1–3 years of experience as a Receptionist, Front Desk Executive, Guest Relations Executive, or similar role in a hotel, resort, or hospitality establishment.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills and a hospitality\-focused attitude may also be considered.
- Experience handling hotel reservations and guest services is preferred.
