The role finds and hires the right people quickly, builds an onboarding and training system so they become productive fast, and runs a fair, evidence\-based appraisal and growth process. It also keeps every HR operation and statutory requirement in order, and protects the culture that makes CIVOM a place people want to stay. This is a hands\-on role: you will set up the systems yourself and run them every day.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
Hiring
- Own recruitment end to end for every open position: role briefs, sourcing, screening, interview panels, offers and joining
- Hire across a wide mix of roles: designers, engineers, installation and service teams, sales and marketing, and senior leaders
- Build CIVOM's employer brand on LinkedIn, job portals, campuses and design and architecture networks
- Run a referral programme and a bench of trusted recruitment partners for niche and senior roles
- Track the hiring pipeline daily: open positions, interviews held, positions closed and offer drops
Onboarding and training
- Build and run CIVOM's Onboarding \& Training System: induction, first\-30\-day plans and buddy assignments for every new joiner
- Run brand and product training for sales, design and marketing teams with the relevant leads
- Plan a yearly training calendar based on skill gaps found in appraisals
Performance and growth
- Run the annual appraisal cycle to schedule, including self\-review, appraiser review, 360 input and calibration sessions
- Make sure every rating is backed by evidence and every appraiser completes their part on time
- Link team and individual goals (OKRs) to appraisals, and support promotion and career\-ladder decisions
- Prepare compensation revision and confirmation letters with the Director and Finance
HR operations and compliance
- Manage attendance, leave, payroll inputs, employee records and the HR system
- Ensure statutory compliance: PF, gratuity, Shops and Establishments registration, and otherapplicable labour laws
- Own employment agreements, probation confirmations, exits, full\-and\-final settlements and HR policies
- Manage outsourced payroll, compliance and background\-verification partners
Culture, well\-being and budget
- Run CIVOM's culture programmes: mentorship, team development, health and learning initiatives
- Track well\-being, absenteeism and attrition; hold exit interviews and act on what they show
- Measure employee engagement every quarter and work with leaders to improve it
- Plan and manage the HR budget: recruitment, training, engagement and HR systems; co\-own the headcount budget with Finance
- *Requirements:**
- 4–8 years in HR, with at least 2–3 years owning recruitment end to end for a growing company
- Proven record of hiring across varied roles: technical, creative, field and sales
- Working knowledge of Indian labour law and statutory compliance (PF, gratuity, Shops and Establishments)
- Experience running appraisal cycles and building HR policies and processes from scratch
- Hands\-on with an HRMS or payroll system, Excel or Google Sheets, LinkedIn Recruiter and job portals
- Strong communication in English and Hindi, with the judgement to handle confidential matters
- A builder's mindset: comfortable being the only HR person and setting up systems from zero
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- MBA or PG Diploma in Human Resources, or an equivalent qualification from a reputed institute
- Experience in a manufacturing, interiors, furniture, design or project\-based company
- Experience setting up an onboarding programme or a training academy
- Experience implementing an HRMS such as Keka, greytHR or similar
- Familiarity with OKRs and competency\-based appraisals
- *First 30 Days:**
- Meet every team lead; list all open positions with priority, budget and timeline, and start sourcing
- Audit employee files, agreements, statutory registrations and policies; list every gap
- Draft the induction plan and first\-30\-day checklist for new joiners

- Time to hire and offer\-to\-joining ratio
- New\-hire retention in the first 90 days
- Appraisals completed on time, with evidence and calibration
- Employee engagement score and regretted attrition
- Statutory compliance with zero gaps
