Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to oversee all human resource functions for our school in Chennai. The role involves managing the complete employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, payroll coordination, engagement initiatives, and exit management for both teaching and non\-teaching staff.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the education sector and possess a strong understanding of school operations, statutory compliance, and people management.
Key Responsibilities
1\. Talent Acquisition \& Onboarding
- Manage end\-to\-end recruitment for academic and non\-academic positions.
- Coordinate with the Principal and department heads to understand manpower requirements.
- Source, screen, interview, and facilitate hiring of qualified candidates.
- Conduct reference checks, background verification, and documentation.
- Manage joining formalities, induction programs, and onboarding processes.
2\. Employee Lifecycle Management
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRMS data.
- Monitor attendance, leave management, and payroll inputs.
- Process confirmations, promotions, transfers, and contract renewals.
- Ensure timely issuance of HR\-related letters and documentation.
3\. Performance Management \& Employee Relations
- Coordinate appraisal cycles, goal setting, and performance reviews.
- Address employee grievances and provide HR guidance.
- Foster a positive work environment through engagement initiatives.
- Support implementation of school policies, code of conduct, and disciplinary procedures.
4\. Compliance \& Statutory Requirements
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Professional Tax, and other applicable compliances.
- Support POSH and POCSO compliance initiatives and awareness programs.
- Maintain documentation required for audits and regulatory inspections.
5\. Learning, Development \& Engagement
- Organize training programs, workshops, and employee development initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement and recognition programs.
- Support wellness and staff welfare activities.
6\. Exit Management
- Manage resignation processes, exit interviews, and full \& final settlements.
- Analyze attrition trends and recommend retention strategies.
7\. HR Reporting \& Administration
- Prepare HR MIS reports, dashboards, and manpower analytics.
- Coordinate with vendors, consultants, insurance providers, and recruitment partners.
- Maintain confidentiality and data security standards.
Qualifications \& Experience
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
- 8\-10 years of HR experience, preferably in schools or educational institutions.
- Experience in recruitment, HR operations, employee relations, and compliance.
- Knowledge of labour laws and payroll processes.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and HRMS platforms.
- Prior experience in CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE, or K\-12 schools.
- Knowledge of teacher recruitment and educational compliance requirements.
- Exposure to POSH and POCSO implementation.

Pay: ₹45,000\.00 \- ₹55,000\.00 per month
