The Personnel Manager / HR Manager is responsible for managing all human resource and personnel functions at the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with labor laws, maintaining healthy industrial relations, supporting workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, and administration activities. The role plays a critical part in creating a productive, compliant, and employee\-centric work environment.
Key Responsibilities1\. Human Resource Management
- Manage end\-to\-end recruitment and selection for staff, supervisors, engineers, and workmen.
- Coordinate onboarding, induction, and employee integration programs.
- Implement manpower planning and workforce optimization strategies.
- Maintain employee records, HRIS databases, and personnel files.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
2\. Industrial Relations (IR)
- Maintain harmonious industrial relations with workers, unions, and employee representatives.
- Handle disciplinary actions, domestic inquiries, grievance management, and conflict resolution.
- Support wage negotiations, settlements, and collective bargaining activities.
- Ensure compliance with standing orders and company regulations.
- Liaise with labor authorities and government agencies when required.
3\. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and statutory requirements, including:
- Factories Act
- Industrial Relations Code
- EPF \& MP Act
- ESI Act
- Payment of Wages Act
- Minimum Wages Act
- Bonus Act
- Gratuity Act
- Contract Labour Regulations
- Shops \& Establishments provisions (where applicable)
- Coordinate statutory audits and inspections.
- Maintain statutory registers, records, and documentation.
4\. Payroll \& Compensation Administration
- Coordinate payroll inputs, attendance, leave management, overtime, and shift allowances.
- Verify wage and salary processing accuracy.
- Administer employee benefits and welfare schemes.
- Monitor compensation structures and statutory deductions.
5\. Performance Management \& Employee Development
- Support performance appraisal and goal\-setting processes.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning \& development programs.
- Facilitate leadership development and succession planning initiatives.
- Promote employee engagement and retention programs.
6\. Employee Welfare \& Engagement
- Organize employee welfare activities, health camps, celebrations, and engagement initiatives.
- Manage employee communication and feedback mechanisms.
- Ensure workplace discipline and positive employee relations.
- Support diversity, inclusion, and employee well\-being initiatives.
7\. Administration \& Security
- Supervise administrative functions including transport, canteen, housekeeping, and security services.
- Coordinate contractor management and vendor compliance.
- Monitor facility administration activities to ensure smooth plant operations.
8\. HR Reporting \& Analytics
- Prepare monthly HR dashboards and MIS reports.
- Track manpower, absenteeism, attrition, productivity, and training metrics.
- Provide HR insights and recommendations to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources, MSW (HR/Personnel Management), or equivalent qualification.
- Additional certification in Labor Laws or Industrial Relations is preferred.
Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in HR, Personnel, and Industrial Relations functions.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience handling blue and white \-collar workforce and unionized environments preferred
Pay: ₹25,515\.45 \- ₹54,467\.60 per month
Work Location: In person
