Interior Draftsman (Technical Drawings)

We are looking for an experienced Interior Draftsman with a strong background in commercial and corporate interior projects. The candidate should be proficient in preparing detailed technical drawings, working drawings, shop drawings and execution drawings for interior fit\-out projects.

The ideal candidate must have sound knowledge of interior construction techniques, materials, detailing and site execution requirements, with the ability to translate design concepts into accurate, practical and execution\-ready drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical \& Working Drawings
• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for commercial, corporate and office interior projects.
• Develop furniture layouts, partition layouts, flooring plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCP) and detailed elevations.
• Prepare execution\-ready drawings with accurate dimensions, specifications and construction details.
• Create detailed sections, joinery drawings and furniture fabrication drawings.
• Revise and update drawings based on design changes and site requirements.
• Interior Fit\-Out \& Construction Detailing
• Prepare detailed drawings for modular furniture, workstations, executive cabins, reception counters, conference rooms and storage units.
• Develop technical details for gypsum partitions, glass partitions, wall panelling, false ceilings and flooring.
• Prepare detailed drawings for custom furniture, carpentry and millwork.
• Ensure appropriate material specifications, dimensions, fixing details and installation requirements.
• MEP Coordination
• Coordinate architectural and interior drawings with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire\-fighting and other service drawings.
• Prepare coordinated ceiling layouts incorporating lighting, AC diffusers, sprinklers and other services.
• Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies before site execution.
• Coordinate with consultants and site teams for technical clarifications.
• Site Coordination \& Execution Support
• Coordinate with project managers, interior designers, architects and site execution teams.
• Conduct site measurements and verify dimensions before preparing final drawings.
• Prepare revised and as\-built drawings based on actual site conditions.
• Provide technical drawing support to contractors, vendors and fabricators.
• Ensure drawings are practical, accurate and aligned with execution requirements.
• Documentation \& Drawing Management
• Maintain organised drawing files, revision records and technical documentation.
• Prepare drawing submission packages for client and internal approvals.
• Ensure all drawings follow company drafting standards and project specifications.
• Deliver technical drawings within defined project timelines.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
• Strong knowledge of interior working drawings, shop drawings and technical detailing.
• Practical understanding of commercial interior fit\-out execution.
• Knowledge of furniture manufacturing, joinery, partitions, ceilings and finishing materials.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Strong understanding of dimensions, levels, construction tolerances and material specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Ability to coordinate with design and site execution teams.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit or 3D software will be an added advantage.

Qualifications \& Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in interior drafting and technical drawing preparation.
• Previous experience with corporate offices, commercial interiors, retail outlets or turnkey fit\-out projects is preferred.
• Hands\-on knowledge of site execution methods and construction detailing is essential.
• Experience working with interior design\-and\-build companies or turnkey contractors will be an advantage.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a technically strong, detail\-oriented Interior Draftsman who understands not only how to prepare drawings but also how interior projects are executed on\-site.

The candidate should have practical experience in commercial interior fit\-outs and be capable of independently preparing complete technical drawing packages for office interior projects.

Pay: ₹30,000\.00 per month
