We are looking for a back\-end developer who will work with team members to troubleshoot and improve current back\-end applications and processes. You should have excellent communication, computer, and project management skills.

Mandatory Skills

• Java 8\+ — Streams, Lambda, Collections
• Spring Boot — production grade, not tutorial level
• Microservices — must have built services, not just worked in a team that has them
• Spring Data JPA/Hibernate — entity relationships, query optimization
• MySQL — schema design, indexing

• *Role Description**

You'll be working closely with our Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This means you'll learn directly from experienced peers \& seniors and gain valuable insights into how technology drives our business.

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer with **3 to 5 years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, and Microservices to build high\-performance, scalable applications.** I

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems that power our applications. From building RESTful APIs to managing databases, you will play a key role in ensuring our systems run smoothly and efficiently.

• *This is a full\-time remote role for a Back End Developer, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.** Daily tasks include implementing robust APIs, collaborating with front\-end developers on integration, troubleshooting and debugging applications, and ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

• *Development \& Architecture**

• Design \& build scalable applications using Java \& Spring Boot with a microservices approach.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs for seamless service\-to\-service communication.
• Implement database solutions in MySQL, ensuring high performance, reliability,
• and efficiency.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well\-documented code following best practices.

• *Problem Solving \& Optimization**

• Debug and troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems.
• Optimize application performance through profiling, monitoring, and tuning.
• Ensure error handling, logging, and security best practices are implemented in all services.

• *Collaboration \& Best Practices**

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and front\-end developers to define requirements.
• Follow Agile methodologies to ensure smooth development cycles and timely releases.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and automate testing.
• Use Git for version control, ensuring code quality and collaboration.

• *Who Should Apply?**

• You have 3 to 5 years of hands\-on experience in backend development.
• You write production\-grade Java \& Spring Boot code and understand microservices deeply.
• You have built and managed APIs that handle real\-world business use cases.
• You can design and optimize relational databases (MySQL) for high performance.
• You know how distributed systems communicate and can handle inter\-service dependencies.
