Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend \+ DevOps Engineer with 3–9 years of experience in developing scalable backend applications and managing cloud\-native deployments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud infrastructure.

The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing robust backend services, implementing event\-driven architectures, automating deployment processes, and ensuring application scalability, reliability, and performance.

Key Skills and Requirements

• Core Java \& Backend Development: Strong proficiency in Core Java, object\-oriented programming, multithreading, collections, and exception handling.
• Spring Boot \& Microservices: Extensive experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Web Technologies: Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3\.
• Database Management: Hands\-on experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• ORM \& Persistence: Strong knowledge of Hibernate, JPA, or OpenJPA.
• DevOps \& CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build automation, deployment automation, and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
• Containerization \& Orchestration: Hands\-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and management.
• Cloud Technologies: Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS, including relevant compute, networking, storage, and monitoring services.
• Messaging \& Event\-Driven Architecture: Experience with Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, or similar message\-broker technologies.
• API Management \& Integration: Familiarity with API gateways, service integration, authentication, and legacy system integrations.
• Monitoring \& Logging: Experience with application monitoring, centralized logging, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
• Version Control \& Agile: Proficiency with Git and experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments.
• Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices to support business requirements.
• Implement event\-driven systems using Kafka, MQ, or other messaging technologies.
• Design and optimize database queries, transactions, and persistence layers for Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, and deployment.
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy, manage, and troubleshoot workloads in Kubernetes environments.
• Deploy and maintain cloud\-native applications on AWS, ensuring scalability, availability, security, and performance.
• Implement infrastructure and deployment automation using appropriate DevOps tools and practices.
• Monitor application health, investigate production incidents, and resolve performance and deployment issues.
• Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve release quality and operational efficiency.
• Follow secure coding practices, participate in code reviews, and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience supporting production\-grade Java applications and cloud infrastructure.
• Understanding of distributed systems, system design, application security, and high\-availability architectures.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix commands, shell scripting, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or AWS CloudWatch.
