The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

• *Responsibilities:**

• Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code
• Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems
• Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
• Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging
• Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
• Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions
• Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

• *Qualifications:**

• 2\-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
• Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated problem\-solving and decision\-making skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

• *Education:**

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

• **End\-to\-End Development:**Design, develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable, and secure client\-side and server\-side architectures.
• **Ownership \& Accountability:**Act as a key team player, taking true ownership of specific modules and components, and ensuring timely business deliveries.
• **Collaborative Ideation:**Partner closely with development teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to ideate, design, and implement technical solutions that solve complex business problems.
• **Code Quality \& Best Practices:**Write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code. Adhere to industry\-standard design patterns, coding standards, and code review processes.
• **Application Modernization:**Contribute to the refactoring, optimization, and upkeep of existing applications to improve performance, maintainability, and security.
• **Testing \& Optimization:**Conduct thorough unit, integration, and performance testing to ensure application responsiveness, efficiency, and high availability.
• **Security First:**Ensure all designs and code comply with enterprise security standards, vulnerability remediation guidelines, and secure coding practices.
• **Responsive UI/UX:**Build intuitive, user\-friendly, and responsive web interfaces that offer seamless user experiences across desktop and mobile platforms.
• **Technical Documentation:**Author and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API specifications, and deployment guides.

• **Backend Development:**

+ Proven hands\-on experience as a Full\-Stack Developer or in a similar software engineering role.

+ Strong experience with**Java 8**(or higher) and core Java concepts (multithreading, collections, concurrency).

+ Deep understanding of the**Spring Framework**(Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security).

+ Hands\-on experience with Object\-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks, specifically**Hibernate**or JPA.

• **Frontend Development:**

+ Hands\-on experience with**Angular (Angular 2\+)**or modern JavaScript frameworks.

+ Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and responsive web design principles.

• **Database \& Scripting:**

+ Strong proficiency in**PL/SQL**, database design, query optimization, and writing complex SQL queries.

+ Solid experience with**Unix/Linux Shell Scripting**for automation and system maintenance.

• **SDLC \& Methodologies:**

+ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).

+ Experience with version control systems (Git/Bitbucket) and build tools (Maven, Gradle).
