Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a **Lead AI Engineer** for a full\-time position (40 hours per week) in the USA. Our client is dedicated to using AI and NLP to eliminate human labor from all prior authorizations. The team is funded, growing, and looking for world\-class teammates to own, lead, build, and execute next\-generation solutions alongside us. It is a unique opportunity to create an immediate and lasting impact within the company and on US healthcare as we know it. Your work will touch tens of thousands of patients, providers, and administrators daily, and through your code, we will truly be able to help change US healthcare.

You'll be a technical leader and innovator, driving the core of the technology. You'll spearhead the design, development, and deployment of robust AI models that automate prior authorization tasks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. You'll wear two hats: driving the scientific foundation for our technology and eventually building and leading our AI team.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 7\+ years of experience leading and developing AI/ML solutions, preferably in healthcare or a related domain.
• In\-depth understanding of NLP, machine learning algorithms, deep learning techniques, and model optimization strategies.
• A highly motivated individual with a strong blend of technical leadership.
• and hands\-on expertise in AI development for healthcare applications.
• Experience working with real\-world datasets, including data cleaning, pre\-processing, and feature engineering.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead cross\-functional teams.
• Strong problem\-solving skills and a passion for applying cutting\-edge AI to solve real\-world challenges in healthcare.

NICE TO HAVE

• Familiarity with healthcare data and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience in the prior authorization space, including knowledge of payer rules and guidelines.
• Prior experience building AI solutions for regulatory compliance.
• Creator of research papers or publications in top AI/ML conferences or journals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the AI engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Define the technical roadmap for AI development in the prior authorization domain.
• Design, develop, and deploy production\-ready AI models for tasks like medical record analysis, rule\-based decision support, and automation of prior authorization requests.
• Ensure the accuracy and explainability of AI models for regulatory compliance and user trust.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to integrate AI models into the overall platform architecture.
• Stay current on the latest advancements in AI for healthcare applications, particularly NLP and computer vision techniques relevant to medical data.
• Lead research initiatives and explore new applications of AI to optimize the prior authorization process.
• Document and present AI models effectively to both technical and non\-technical audiences.
