### **Role description**

Software Engineer, Platform Integrations (India) Experience: 3\-5 years \| Team: Platform Integrations Who we are We're the central nervous system of product integrations at HealthEdge. Our team owns the API gateway, messaging platform and Data Hub that connect products and customers across the healthcare ecosystem. Our work happens at the organizational level, so what you build here gets used by many teams, not just one. What you'll work on • Build Python services and APIs on AWS that power integrations across multiple products • Design decoupled, event\-driven systems using messaging and streaming technologies • Work with a modern cloud\-native stack: Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and CDK • Create AI\-driven automation, including Bedrock and Claude\-based agents with MCP tools, to speed up API and customer onboarding • Help build a self\-service portal where teams can onboard, manage, and monitor their own APIs • Improve observability end to end, with centralized logs, tracing, and troubleshooting tools • Enable secure healthcare data exchange through FHIR\-based APIs and HIPAA\-aligned practices • Ship confidently through automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions • Partner with engineers and product teams across geographies What you bring • Around 4 years of experience building and supporting production software • Strong Python fundamentals, with clean, testable, and maintainable code • Working knowledge of core AWS services such as Lambda, EKS, S3, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, and CloudWatch • Good grasp of REST APIs, authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT), and integration patterns • Understanding of distributed systems basics: asynchronous processing, retries, idempotency, and error handling • Comfort using AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor) to write, test, and debug code faster, while still applying sound engineering judgment • Ability to troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics, and traces • Experience with Git workflows and unit/integration testing • Ability to write clear technical documentation and explain designs to both technical and non\-technical audiences • Curiosity, a learning mindset, and the initiative to pick up new tools and technologies quickly • Clear communication and a strong sense of ownership Bonus points • Kafka or other messaging/streaming experience (RabbitMQ, SQS, EventBridge) • CI/CD and infrastructure\-as\-code experience (GitHub Actions, CDK, Terraform) • Familiarity with FHIR, HIPAA, or other healthcare data standards • Knowledge of API management concepts • Interest in GenAI and agent\-based automation
