Job Title: Lead Engineer – Java, Spring Boot \& Microservices

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement microservices\-based architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Drive technical architecture, HLD, LLD and system design discussions.
• Develop secure APIs and implement authentication, authorization and access control mechanisms.
• Design and implement multithreaded applications using Java concurrency APIs.
• Develop distributed systems and event\-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Implement fault tolerance, resiliency, exception handling and distributed transaction patterns.
• Perform application performance optimization, JVM tuning, memory management and database query optimization.
• Design and implement cloud\-native applications with high availability and scalability.
• Deploy, manage and troubleshoot applications in cloud environments.
• Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Design, develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Lead code reviews, technical discussions and mentor development teams.
• Troubleshoot complex application and production issues and drive root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with architecture, QA, DevOps and business teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Support production deployments, Go\-Live and post\-production stabilization.

Required Skills \& Experience

• 10\+ years of strong hands\-on experience in Java backend development.
• Strong expertise in Core Java and Java 8/11/17 features.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Spring Security.
• Strong experience in microservices architecture and REST API development.
• Excellent knowledge of API security, OAuth 2\.0, JWT and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, synchronization, Executor Framework and CompletableFuture.
• Hands\-on experience with distributed systems and Apache Kafka.
• Strong system design, architectural design and problem\-solving skills.
• Experience in application performance tuning, JVM optimization, memory management and profiling.
• Hands\-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), including application deployment and troubleshooting.
• Strong hands\-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of JPA/Hibernate and relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
• Experience in database design, SQL optimization, indexing and transaction management.
• Experience with application monitoring, logging, distributed tracing and production troubleshooting.
• Strong technical leadership, ownership and mentoring skills.

Good to Have

• Experience in Banking \& Financial Services (BFSI) domain.
• Knowledge of payment processing, reconciliation and payment investigation workflows.
• Experience with high\-volume transaction processing systems.
• Knowledge of Redis, distributed caching and messaging patterns.
• Experience with cloud\-native architecture and observability tools.
