Lead I - Software Engineering

### **Job Summary**

We are looking for a skilled **Software Engineer – Java Backend** with 5–7 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands\-on expertise in **Java 21\+, Spring Boot, AWS, NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, and search technologies such as OpenSearch/Elasticsearch**.

The role involves building production\-grade **microservices and APIs** while collaborating closely with backend, frontend, and DevOps teams.

### **Key Responsibilities**

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable **microservices and RESTful APIs** using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build production\-grade backend services following REST API design best practices.
• Work with **AWS services**, including configuration management using AWS Systems Manager (SSM) Parameter Store.
• Develop solutions using **NoSQL databases** such as ScyllaDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or equivalent.
• Implement search capabilities using **OpenSearch and/or Elasticsearch**.
• Work with **Spring Data JPA** and persistence frameworks.
• Participate in **GitLab CI/CD pipelines**, merge request workflows, and automated deployments.
• Apply strong knowledge of **OOP and creational design patterns** in application development.
• Implement robust error\-handling strategies and HTTP request/response lifecycles.
• Develop unit and integration tests using **JUnit, Mockito**, and related Java testing frameworks.
• Collaborate effectively with backend, frontend, and DevOps teams.
• Independently drive assigned tasks, proactively identify blockers, and recommend solutions.
