Lead I - Software Testing- Automation Test Engineer (Playwright, TypeScript)

• *Role description**

We are seeking a talented **Automation Test Engineer** to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality\-focused professional with strong technical expertise, hands\-on experience with **Playwright and TypeScript**, and a passion for modern test automation within **Agile delivery environments**.

You will collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, compliance teams, and product owners to streamline testing processes and drive continuous improvement across delivery workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and scripts using **Playwright** and **TypeScript**.
• Execute automated **regression**, **functional**, **integration**, and **end\-to\-end** test suites.
• Analyse test results and identify defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to understand business requirements and define appropriate test coverage.
• Implement QA best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across testing processes.
• Troubleshoot automation issues and perform root\-cause analysis.
• Ensure test environments and test data are properly prepared for automated execution.
• Provide regular reporting on:

+ Test coverage

+ Defect metrics

+ Overall product quality

Essential Skills \& Experience

• Minimum **5\+ years** of experience in automation testing.
• Proven experience working as an **Automation Test Engineer**.
• Strong hands\-on experience with **Playwright** and **TypeScript**.
• Good knowledge of **Selenium WebDriver** and modern test automation practices.
• Strong programming skills in **TypeScript** and/or **C\#**.
• Solid understanding of:

+ Software testing principles

+ Testing methodologies

+ Test design techniques

• Experience working within **Agile/Scrum** delivery environments.
• Familiarity with **CI/CD pipelines** and **Azure DevOps**.
• Experience with API testing tools such as:

+ Postman

+ REST Assured

+ Playwright API Testing

• Experience validating integrations with third\-party verification providers and compliance systems (desirable).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem\-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working with **cloud\-based platforms** and **microservices architectures**.
• Exposure to **performance testing** and/or **security testing**.
• Experience with **SQL** and database validation testing.
• Understanding of test reporting, dashboards, and quality metrics.
