As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial \& Investment Bank's Prime Financial Services Global Clearing Technology team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market\-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for driving critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

• *Job responsibilities**

• Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
• Rationalize existing reports and integrate with the Data Lake platform.
• Provide L3 support for the application.
• Proactively develop and implement development best practices across the group, leveraging AI\-powered development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Guide and mentor junior members of the team.

• *Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5\+ years applied experience
• Experience in core Java and J2EE frameworks
• Solid SDLC experience including software design, coding, and delivery lifecycle management
• Proficiency with AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar AI\-assisted coding tools) to accelerate development and improve code quality.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems, identify root causes, and deliver effective solutions.
• Excellent problem\-solving skills with a structured and data\-driven approach.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• ORM and RDBMS concepts with hands\-on experience in Oracle DB.
• Good understanding of Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Experience with Maven, Jira, Git, and CI/CD tools.
