• *Responsibilities**

• *What You Will Do**

You will lead solution delivery through strong architecture, hands\-on engineering, quality ownership, stakeholder collaboration, and responsible adoption of AI. You will remain technically engaged while enabling the team to operate effectively across business analysis, development, testing, data, automation, and support.

• *Technical Leadership \& Team Enablement**

• Provide hands\-on technical leadership, direction, coaching, and mentoring to engineers; foster accountability, collaboration, inclusion, continuous learning, and a positive team environment.
• Break complex outcomes into clear work packages, delegate effectively, remove technical blockers, manage dependencies, and communicate delivery risks and trade\-offs early.
• Guide engineering estimation, planning, execution, reviews, defect resolution, and production stabilization across build, enhancement, and maintenance initiatives.
• Identify skill gaps and growth opportunities, encourage knowledge sharing, and improve team capability through practical coaching and reusable engineering guidance.
• Partner with product, business analysis, quality engineering, architecture, data, and client teams to align technical execution with business outcomes.

• *AI Engineering \& Innovation**

• Design and build RAG, embeddings/vector search, prompt/context management, tool calling, agent orchestration and human\-in\-the\-loop workflows.
• Work with frameworks and services such as LangChain, LangGraph, Amazon Bedrock, Azure AI, Amazon Q, Kiro, Microsoft Copilot, or equivalent technologies.
• Use AI\-assisted tools for design exploration, coding, refactoring, documentation, troubleshooting, test generation, and knowledge discovery with disciplined review and validation.
• Apply responsible AI practices covering privacy, security, intellectual property, data handling, accuracy, bias awareness, explainability, traceability, and accountable human oversight.
• Identify high\-value use cases, define measurable outcomes, evaluate solution quality, and convert successful experiments into reusable engineering patterns or accelerators.

• *Software Engineering \& Architecture**

• Architect, design, build, review, and maintain web, API, integration, batch, and data\-enabled solutions using C\#, .NET, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and relevant modern frameworks.
• Lead development of responsive front\-end applications and reliable middleware and backend services using sound object\-oriented, API, integration, and database design principles.
• Define and enforce engineering standards for modularity, security, observability, resilience, performance, accessibility, maintainability, and technical debt management.
• Remain hands\-on in critical or complex areas, including prototypes, reference implementations, code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and root\-cause analysis.
• Guide peer reviews of solution designs and code, ensuring decisions are documented and aligned with agreed architecture and engineering standards.
• Ensure solution documentation, operational guidance, support procedures, and technical knowledge assets remain current and usable.

• *Business Analysis \& Solution Design**

• Lead requirement clarification with clients and internal partners, translate business needs into solution options, and challenge ambiguity constructively.
• Convert high\-level designs into detailed designs covering components, data structures, algorithms, class and sequence diagrams, APIs, integration contracts, schemas, error handling, security, and non\-functional requirements.
• Facilitate discovery and design workshops and ensure requirements, customer journeys, acceptance criteria, assumptions, dependencies, and risks are clearly documented and traceable.
• Evaluate solution options against scalability, reliability, maintainability, security, performance, quality, cost, and customer experience.
• Use AI\-assisted tools responsibly to accelerate analysis, design exploration, documentation, and review, with accountable human validation.

• *Data Engineering \& Integration**

• Design and guide relational data models, schemas, queries, stored program units, indexing, normalization, transactional behaviour, and data\-quality controls.
• Lead design and performance tuning of batch and real\-time data processing, ETL/ELT programs, APIs, and system integrations.
• Work with SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, Redshift, SnapLogic, DataHub, or equivalent technologies based on solution needs.
• Partner with technology and data teams to source, transform, validate, and integrate data while maintaining security, lineage, reliability, and performance.

• *Quality Engineering \& Technical Assurance**

• Own the technical quality strategy for assigned solutions, including unit, integration, API, UI, regression, data, performance, resilience, and negative testing.
• Guide testability in solution design and ensure appropriate automation, code coverage, traceability, and quality gates are established.
• Use tools and frameworks such as NUnit, Playwright, Selenium, Postman, ReadyAPI, or equivalent technologies to support automated validation.
• Lead defect triage and root\-cause analysis and ensure corrective and preventive actions improve engineering practices.
• Use AI\-assisted techniques to improve review quality, test design, coverage analysis, and defect investigation while validating generated outputs for correctness.

• *Process Improvement \& Ownership**

• Improve engineering processes, design practices, coding standards, review mechanisms, documentation, support readiness, and team ways of working.
• Take end\-to\-end ownership of technical outcomes from discovery through production stability, balancing speed with quality and sustainable engineering.
• Flex across architecture, development, business analysis, quality engineering, data, automation, documentation, and production support based on delivery priorities while preserving depth in technical leadership.
• Use automation and low\-code tools such as n8nf, or equivalent technologies to streamline repeatable business and engineering workflows where appropriate.
• Promote evidence\-based decision\-making, experimentation, reusable assets, and continuous improvement across teams and initiatives.

• *Qualifications**

• *Essential Education \& Experience**

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8\+ years of software engineering experience, including 5\+ years providing technical leadership in customer\-facing, full\-stack engineering roles.
• Experience leading technical delivery across complex, large\-scale, end\-to\-end programs and performing both developer and lead responsibilities on multiple major implementations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, manage multiple priorities, communicate with clients and senior partners, and solve complex software and data problems.

• *Core Technical Skills**

• Advanced capability in C\#/.NET with working proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript, object\-oriented design, design patterns, and clean\-code practices.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, JSON, MVC/Web API, web services, HTML, CSS, responsive design, and modern front\-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Expertise in relational database design, data modelling, SQL, and Oracle PL/SQL, including procedures, functions, packages, cursors, triggers, collections, transactions, normalization, indexing, constraints, and performance tuning.
• Strong grounding in secure architecture, application performance, observability, debugging, quality engineering, automated testing, and production support.
• Experience with Git\-based version control, collaborative code review, Agile development, and disciplined software release practices.

• *AI \& Future Skills**

• Practical understanding of Generative AI, Agentic AI, prompt engineering, RAG, AI evaluation, and AI\-assisted software delivery.
• Exposure to LangChain, LangGraph, Amazon Bedrock, Azure AI, or similar frameworks and services.
• Ability to select and apply AI\-assisted tools across analysis, architecture, development, testing, documentation, and support, with appropriate verification and controls.
• Ability to design AI use cases, guide prototypes, assess feasibility and risk, demonstrate business value, and communicate recommendations to technical and non\-technical partners.
• Awareness of responsible AI, privacy, security, intellectual property, model limitations, and enterprise data\-handling considerations.

• *Desirable Skills \& Experience**

• Experience with data and integration technologies such as Redshift, SnapLogic, DataHub, or equivalent platforms.
• Unix/Linux command line, Bash or PowerShell scripting, Python automation, and complex application or database performance analysis.
• Workflow automation using n8n, Make, Zapier, low\-code/no\-code platforms, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience with distributed systems, CRM, loyalty, marketing technology, customer data, or high\-volume transaction platforms.
