Lead Specialist - Bid Management

• *Overview**

Gallagher Center of Excellence (GCoE) is seeking a Lead Proposal \& Knowledge Management Specialist to lead the proposal content, bid support, and knowledge management function while managing a team of proposal and knowledge specialists. The role is responsible for developing compelling proposal content, governing Gallagher's knowledge assets across Responsive (RFPIO), SharePoint, and Microsoft 365, and ensuring content remains accurate, compliant, and readily accessible to support business growth.

As a people leader, you will provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management for the team, foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and drive operational excellence across proposal processes. You will partner closely with Sales Teams, Bid Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and business leaders, while championing AI\-enabled solutions such as Microsoft Copilot to enhance proposal quality, productivity, and win\-rate effectiveness.

• *How you'll make an impact** **Responsibilities:** **Proposal Development \& Bid Management*** Lead the development, review, and submission of high\-quality proposals, RFPs, RFIs, and bid responses.
• Partner with Sales Teams, Bid Managers, and SMEs to create compelling, client\-focused content.
• Ensure proposal responses meet client requirements, compliance standards, and brand guidelines.
• Support strategic pursuits that contribute to business growth and improved win rates

• *Knowledge Management \& Content Governance*** Own and manage Gallagher's proposal content repositories across Responsive (RFPIO), SharePoint, WIN, OneNote, and Microsoft 365\.
• Establish and maintain content governance, review cycles, and quality standards.
• Ensure proposal content remains accurate, current, compliant, and easily accessible.
• Drive continuous improvement of knowledge management processes and content organization.

• *Team Leadership \& People Management*** Lead, mentor, and develop a team of proposal and knowledge management professionals.
• Set performance objectives, provide coaching, and support career development.
• Foster a collaborative, high\-performing, and customer\-focused team culture.
• Manage resource allocation, workload planning, and team capacity to meet business needs.

• *Stakeholder Management \& Collaboration*** Build strong partnerships with Sales Teams, Bid Managers, SMEs, and business leaders.
• Act as the primary point of contact for proposal content and knowledge management activities.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and cross\-functional collaboration across global teams.

• *Process Excellence \& Technology Enablement*** Serve as the subject matter expert for Responsive (RFPIO) and proposal management tools.
• Drive standardization, efficiency, and best practices across proposal processes.
• Develop reporting and insights on proposal performance, content utilization, and operational effectiveness.

• *AI \& Innovation*** Champion the adoption of Microsoft Copilot and other AI\-driven solutions.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve proposal quality, productivity, and turnaround times.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the proposal and knowledge management function.

• *About you** **Qualifications \& Experience:** **Certificate(s)/Special Training:**
• Knowledge Capture Certification or equivalent
• Certification in Insurance Bid writing is highly preferred.
• Advanced training in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing) is advantageous.
• Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress.
• Training in analytics tools such as Google Analytics is beneficial.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile) is a plus.
• Certification in advanced content strategy or copywriting is beneficial.

• *Experience (Career Level Guide):*** Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
• 10\+ years of experience in content creation, SEO, and digital marketing, preferably within the financial or insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of SEO tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot).
