The Lead XB Process Excellence \& Compliance is responsible for establishing, governing and continuously enhancing the operating framework supporting Blue Dart's Cross Border business.
Reporting to the Head – Air Product \& Trinity, the role serves as the central owner for process governance, SOP development, operational standards, customs process governance, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, operational controls, training deployment and continuous improvement initiatives across the Cross Border network.
The incumbent will work closely with Gateway Operations, Commercial, Finance, IT, Customs Partners, DHL eCommerce stakeholders and regional operations teams to ensure standardised execution, regulatory compliance, operational scalability and service quality across the Cross Border product.
As Blue Dart expands its Cross Border business, this role will play a critical role in institutionalising operating standards, ensuring process discipline, strengthening compliance controls and driving operational readiness to support future growth.
To establish and maintain a robust Cross Border operating framework through process governance, SOP ownership, customs compliance, audit controls, training deployment and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational consistency, service quality and sustainable scalability of the Cross Border business.
- *Key Roles \& Responsibilities:**
- *Process Governance \& SOP Management**
- Design, document and maintain operational SOPs across all Cross Border activities.
- Establish standard operating procedures covering shipment processing, customs documentation, operational controls and compliance requirements.
- Ensure alignment of Blue Dart operating procedures with DHL eCommerce global standards, GSOP requirements and regulatory guidelines.
- Review and update SOPs periodically based on operational, regulatory and business changes.
- Develop operational playbooks, process manuals, governance documentation and operating frameworks.
- Drive process standardisation and consistency across the Cross Border network.
- Ensure all process changes are documented, approved and communicated appropriately.
- *Compliance \& Regulatory Governance**
- Establish and govern compliance frameworks supporting Cross Border operations.
- Ensure adherence to customs regulations, KYC requirements, denied party screening requirements and applicable statutory guidelines.
- Govern operational compliance related to CSB IV and CSB V shipment categories.
- Monitor implementation of compliance controls across operational locations.
- Develop compliance monitoring mechanisms and governance standards.
- Maintain compliance documentation and regulatory records.
- Support implementation of regulatory changes and new compliance requirements.
- Ensure process readiness for audits, reviews and inspections.
- *Customs Process Governance**
- Establish customs\-related operating procedures and process controls.
- Ensure standardisation of customs documentation requirements and shipment clearance processes.
- Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA), customs authorities and regulatory stakeholders on process requirements.
- Monitor customs process adherence and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support resolution of recurring customs\-related process issues.
- Ensure customs process readiness to support future Cross Border business expansion.
- Drive operational awareness on customs requirements and regulatory obligations.
- *GSOP Deployment \& Operational Readiness**
- Drive implementation and adoption of DHL eCommerce GSOP requirements across the Cross Border network.
- Monitor compliance against approved GSOP standards.
- Conduct readiness assessments for new process launches, network expansion initiatives and operational changes.
- Support implementation of new operational processes and business initiatives.
- Ensure operational teams have access to approved process documentation and implementation guidance.
- Support stabilisation and governance during new product or process rollouts.
- *Training \& Capability Development**
- Develop training frameworks and learning modules supporting Cross Border operations.
- Design training content covering SOPs, customs processes, compliance requirements and operational standards.
- Coordinate training deployment across operational teams.
- Conduct refresher training and certification programs.
- Monitor process adoption and training effectiveness.
- Support onboarding and capability development of new operational team members.
- Build process awareness and compliance culture across the organisation.
- *Audit, Risk \& Control Management**
- Maintain audit readiness across the Cross Border operation.
- Conduct process audits, compliance reviews and governance assessments.
- Identify operational risks, compliance gaps and control weaknesses.
- Develop corrective and preventive action plans.
- Monitor closure of audit observations and compliance findings.
- Maintain governance dashboards relating to compliance, audits and process controls.
- Support internal, external, customer and regulatory audits.
- Drive continuous strengthening of operational control frameworks.
- *Service Quality \& Process Excellence**
- Monitor adherence to operational standards and approved processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis for process failures and service deviations.
- Recommend process improvements and operational enhancements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Cross Border business.
- Establish quality control mechanisms to improve consistency and service reliability.
- Promote best\-practice sharing and process standardisation across operational teams.
- Support operational excellence initiatives and maturity improvements.
- *Stakeholder Management**
- Partner with Operations, Commercial, Finance, IT and DHL eCommerce stakeholders to ensure alignment on process and compliance requirements.
- Support implementation of operational policy changes and governance initiatives.
- Facilitate resolution of process\-related escalations and compliance concerns.
- Participate in governance reviews, project discussions and operational improvement initiatives.
- Act as the central point of contact for process governance, SOP and compliance\-related matters.
- Build strong working relationships across internal and external stakeholder groups.

- Identify opportunities for process simplification, automation and standardisation.
- Support digital transformation initiatives impacting Cross Border operations.
- Benchmark industry best practices and recommend adoption where appropriate.

- *Qualifications \& Experience:**
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade or Management preferred.
- Certification in Customs, Compliance, Quality Management, Process Excellence or International Trade preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in logistics, express distribution, freight forwarding, international operations or Cross Border logistics.
- Experience in process governance, operational excellence, compliance management, quality assurance or audit\-focused roles.
- Exposure to customs regulations, international shipment processing and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience working across Operations, Finance, IT and Commercial functions.
- Demonstrated experience in SOP development, process governance and operational improvement initiatives.
