Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and technically skilled Lighting Designer to develop effective lighting solutions for commercial interiors, offices, restaurants, hospitality spaces, and other interior fit\-out projects. The candidate should be capable of translating design concepts into practical lighting layouts, coordinating with interior design and MEP teams, and ensuring that lighting solutions meet aesthetic, functional, and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Develop lighting concepts and designs based on project requirements, architectural intent, and interior design themes.

Prepare lighting layouts, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), lighting fixture schedules, and detailed drawings.

Select appropriate lighting fixtures, including downlights, spotlights, linear lights, track lights, decorative fixtures, and architectural lighting.

Calculate illumination levels (lux levels) and conduct lighting simulations using tools such as DIALux evo or Relux.

Prepare lighting specifications, fixture schedules, technical details, and BOQs.

Coordinate with interior designers, architects, electrical consultants, MEP teams, and project managers.

Recommend suitable lighting fixtures, colour temperatures, beam angles, CRI, wattage, and control systems.

Coordinate with lighting vendors and manufacturers to obtain technical data, quotations, samples, and product alternatives.

Review shop drawings, installation details, and lighting proposals to ensure design intent is maintained.

Conduct site visits to verify lighting installation, alignment, focusing, and overall performance.

Assist the estimation and procurement teams with technical clarifications and material selection.

Ensure lighting designs comply with applicable electrical safety standards and project specifications.

Maintain project documentation and ensure timely completion of lighting design deliverables.

Required Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Lighting Design, or a related field.

Relevant experience in architectural lighting, commercial interiors, or interior fit\-out projects.

Knowledge of lighting design principles, illumination calculations, and lighting fixture specifications.

Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other 3D visualisation tools is an advantage.

Understanding of electrical layouts, reflected ceiling plans, and lighting control systems.

Preferred Experience

Experience coordinating with design, estimation, procurement, and execution teams.
