Lighting Designer

• *Role Overview**

The Lighting Design Executive will be responsible for supporting the design and development of architectural lighting solutions across a variety of projects. The role requires preparing lighting layouts, selecting fixtures, developing design presentations, and coordinating with architects, interior designers, consultants, and internal teams to deliver effective and aesthetically appealing lighting solutions.

• *Lighting Design**

Develop conceptual and detailed lighting layouts based on architectural and interior design requirements.

• *CAD Documentation**

Prepare lighting plans, reflected ceiling plans, fixture layouts, switching layouts, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD.

• *Fixture Selection**

Assist in selecting appropriate lighting fixtures and solutions based on project requirements, design intent, and technical feasibility.

• *Design Presentations**

Prepare lighting concepts, mood boards, presentations, and supporting design documentation for client discussions and approvals.

• *Project Coordination**

Work closely with architects, interior designers, consultants, and the sales team during project development and execution.

• *Technical Support**

Provide technical inputs on fixture placement, beam angles, mounting details, lighting calculations, and lighting effects.

• *Project Documentation**

Maintain project drawings, BOQs, specifications, schedules, and design records.

• *Site Support**

Coordinate with project execution teams and provide support during installation, commissioning, and site visits whenever required.

• *Research \& Innovation**

Stay updated on lighting trends, technologies, products, and international best practices in architectural lighting.

• *Key Skills \& Attributes**

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D
• Understanding of architectural and interior drawings
• Knowledge of architectural, decorative, and technical lighting solutions
• Ability to create professional design presentations and concept boards
• Good visualization and spatial planning skills
• Knowledge of lighting design principles and applications
• Exposure to 3D visualization tools such as 3DS Max, SketchUp, Dialux, Relux, or similar software would be an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and problem\-solving ability
• Good communication and coordination skills
